---Jesus lived 33 years but nothing compared to the suffering the last hours until death.

---The Trinity has planned this in advance (Eph. 1:1–4; 2 Tim. 1:8, 9; Titus 1:1, 2). Jesus is going to give His life. It will be a sacrifice therefore the Typology of the Sanctuary Truth.

---This is the part that is overlooked by Reformed Theology and why they are Salvation 1.1 and not Salvation 4.1 versions.

---Jesus separated Himself in Gethsemane from them but not so far that they could not see or hear Him.

---He fell to the ground and felt that sin is going to separate Him from His Father.

---Agony overcome Him.

---Ellen White cites the Trinity text in Zechariah 13:7 in Desire of Ages 686 in this scene of Gethsemane of Christ. “Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, and against the Man that is My fellow, says the Lord of Hosts”.

---The Lord of Hosts is speaking of the Lord Shepherd Jesus Christ, as the Man or Son of Man. Fascinating.

---Christ is the substitute and surety for sinful man and Christ suffered under divine justice and saw what it meant.

---He was always an Intercessor for others and their needs and here He was longing to have just one Intercessor Himself, Ellen White added.

---Once one realizes one’s sinfulness, agony will come over the person as well because one realizes the separation from God.

---When you cry out My God, My God and it is quiet…it is time to grab hold of His clothes and cling. Keep praying. Really cry but keep praying. The voice is still. Do not stop until He speaks in your mind. Like Jacob, I will not let You go…And then it comes. But you have to promise of change. You have to make a contract of promises to Him that you will change your life. And do.
