---People are curious as to what happens to people after they die.

---This week’s lesson will answer that question.

---Hopping out of the Bible and reading too much Classical Greek poets and philosophers, the Middle Age church developed strange ideas of what happen to the soul after death.

---First they swallowed Homer and Plato’s ideas of the immortality of the soul.

---Then putting on these Greek “glasses” of immortality, they went to the Bible and grabbed what they thought is supporting their view, making a parable literal as in the case of the Rich man and Lazarus.

---The moment people accept all kinds of theories that are outside the Bible, they become agnostic.

---Agnostic means that the human now decides what is right and wrong and no longer God in His Word.

---“I don’t care” is the motto. “No one must prescribe to me what I shall do or not”. “Do not tell me how I should think” they say.

---“You do your religion but leave me alone”.

---“I have a right not to go to church or attend chapel even though I work for an Adventist Institution”.

---“The government is supporting my freedom of independency and to be left alone non-mandatory”.

---“I will do my minimum but then stay away with your religion”.

---For these agnostics at our Institutions, the work at the University is just a “job”. It is not a calling.

---Many times the problem is they are not married and do not have children.

---But single life is not an excuse. Many people in the Bible were single and great people of faith. Great apostle Paul.

---Because they have this box of ideas in the brain, Satan helps them to have a lifestyle of “night-life” albeit secretly, so that the Religious Institution do not hear about it.

---But the emptiness inside them prevails.

---They fool themselves with hooking up with friends that share their views.

---They are hedonistic, Sabbath-breaking, shopping and dining and playing sports on Sabbath, off-campus though.

---Trapped by Satan the Holy Spirit silently and patiently waits for a moment of sanity. Biblical sanity.

---They have the educational backing to be used by the Religious Institution, but inside their thinking, ideas, morals have deteriorated leaving them with critical, pessimistic feelings about all the faithful eyes around them looking at them.

---So what do they do on the busy faithful Sabbath on campus? They jump in their cars and go and enjoy themselves in the world of entertainment and come back late on Sabbath evening.

---Do I know of people like that now?

---No. I was also single for many years and saw them in those days.

---It is worse when married couple share this outlook. When both are agnostic.

---So Dante wrote his book on the Hell or Inferno in the 13th century.

---The soul does not die but work his way through hell up to God.

---And the Catholic Church loved what he wrote and cherished it.

---Protestants after the Reformation kept to these ideas.

---One of these Reformers was George Joye who wrote a Daniel commentary in 1541.

---In the last chapter of the commentary he said a lot about the immortality of the soul which he supported.

---He was the editor for the Tyndale Bible but got in a fight with Tyndale that broke their relationship and gave him a bad reputation.

---Joye changed the text of Tyndale in the manuscript and published it like that, changed! So the story goes.

---Do you belong to a church?

---Are you agnostic, “leave me alone you religionists” attitude?

---It is time to join the family of God. Care is what you need. Humans need humans, not people who extort you for your money, pleasure, wasted time.

---Begin to have quality time and a quality lifestyle. Learn to know God and His agape Love.

---Your life will change forever. The joy is amazing.

---Start now. “I am sorry God, that I wasted my life. Now let us walk and talk together. Amen”. That is it. Congratulations. You are part of the family of God.
