Cornelius Jansen studied very well and wrote a research book on Augustine and his views of the Nature of Christ and Sin and other aspects. Here are some citations of his which was published after his death in 1660. He lived in the after-Reformation period and was a Catholic.
Cornelius or Augustine or Cornelius and Augustine believed that Christ took the nature of man but not the flesh after the Fall as ours. See for yourself below.
Citation from Cornelius Jansen 1660 on Augustine's views of sin: Quae
sane sanctissimi Doctoris mens ex alio quoque captie cognosci potest.
Nam
Translated in English: Of course, the mind of the most holy Doctor [Augustine] can
also be understood from another point of view. For the soul of Christ, which was both original and
proper, having experienced all sin, is beyond dispute from the rules of the
Christian faith. Cornelius

99 Augustine wrote Cornelius citation of Augustine: Si
carnalis concupiscentia sive semnatam, sive conceptam. In
Epistle 99 Augustine wrote and is cited by Cornelius Jansen in 1660 on page
276: If souls, says Augustine, are not propagated from one,
and only from the flesh of Adam the original sin is transmitted, so the Son of
God created the soul for himself, as he creates for the rest, which he did not
mix with the flesh of sin, that is, the flesh, which by its vices lusted
against the spirit, but likeness of the sinful flesh. For he took from the
Virgin the true substance of flesh, but not the flesh of sin, because it was
not born of carnal concupiscence or conceived. 275-276 Cornelius
Jansen commented in 1660 edition as follows on Augustine’s citation:
Cornelius Jansen
Augustine cited by Cornelius in 1660: Ecce
Translation: “Behold the whole reason why the soul of Christ is most
pure; because he loved the flesh of sin, with which his soul mingled: by which
he plainly shows that if he mingled himself with the flesh of sin, or against
the Spirit of lust, he did not love the corruption of sin.” In
Book I of Maxim Augustine wrote and is cited by Cornelius Jansen in 1660 on
Maxim

peccati contagium, ergo humana carne inquinatum professus es Christum, Ego

some kind of contamination. You therefore wanted Christ to be understood to
have come to human contagion, that is, the contagion of human sin, therefore
you professed to be Christ defiled by human flesh. That Christ became the Word
made flesh in such a way that no contagion from the human race and from human
flesh was allowed. For he came to cleanse, not to pollute. He therefore
received a human soul, and human flesh, without any disease of contagion.”

this very fact is immune from all pollution:
