주 하나님 지으신 모든 세계

1. O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder,

Consider all the works Thy hands have made;

I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,

Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

 

awesome: 경외케 하는, 멋진

wonder: 경이, 놀라움

consider: 숙고하다, 고려하다

roll: 구르다, (천둥이) 우르르하다

thunder: 천둥

universe: 우주

2. When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,

And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.

When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur

And hear the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.

3. And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;

Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;

That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,

He bled and died to take away my sin.

4. When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,

And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.

Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,

And then proclaim, "My God, how great Thou art!"

 

shout: 외침, 환성

acclamation: 갈채, 환호

fill: 채우다

bow: 머리를 숙이다, 절하다

humble: 겸손한, 겸허한, 비천한

adoration: 예배, 숭배

proclaim: 선포하다, 선언하다
