---”Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience” (Eph. 5:6

---When are words “empty”? Hello, how are you? Fine. And your children? Fine. And your wife? Fine.

---What is fine? Empty boxes. Correct?

---When do someone deceive you?

---I will give you an example: with a “Nigerian Scam”.

---In 2000 Nigerian Scams were copied in other countries like the Congo and other African countries.

---They send a pretention letter to people saying that they are the son of a recently president who was removed from his office and now he has millions of dollars to move but you need to help and they will give you 50 million dollars.

---How? Just send or bring to a bank in the Congo $100 000 and they will give in your account 50 million dollars.

---And people believe it and send the money and never see the money again.

---Why? It is a typical deceive transactions and it is called a scam.

---If you do not know what is a scam, look on the internet for scams.

---Update yourself about this evil tool used by evil people to steal money.

---And they did. They made many people bankrupt.

---One of Luther’s helpers was Johannes Brenz. He wrote many commentaries and also one on Daniel.

---But he is known for his role of church and sanctified life discipline.

---So he wrote about the problem of their day in 1531 the following:

The way of life among the people is so dissolute and undisciplined that a person who one night gets himself so full of wine that he has to be carried home, comes the very next morning, alleging that he will never do it again as long as he lives, and demands the sacrament. If one withholds the sacrament from him for a week or so he complains before God and man that he is being denied the sacrament.  If one gives him the sacrament he goes out that very night and gets just as drunk as he was the night before, but returns once more, promising never to do it again, until finally he is once again given the sacrament. So he lives perpetually in his intemperance . . . perpetually demanding grace and forgiveness without sincerity

---This is an example of empty words. He deceives himself that he promises not to do it again but do.

---Paul is asking us to solve this problem. Brenz wanted to excommunicated people from the church when they do this. And then to accept them again if they stopped. That was his suggestion in 1531.

---There is the case of deception where Eusebius, the historian of Constantine the Great wrote about what he could find in research on Papias who lived in 110 AD.

---Papias, said Eusebius knew the apostles and lived with them.

---But, said Eusebius, Papias deceived himself and others with empty words.

---Empty, because he did not properly listen to what the apostles said.

---He was not very bright. Eusebius concluded. He was a little stupid….

---Stupid? Why?

---Eusebius said that Papias was stupid because he taught people that the apostles are saying that the millennium would be after the resurrection and Second Coming.

---He was secondly stupid because he taught that the apostles are saying that the kingdom of Christ will be on this earth eventually. Good morning Adventists!

---Stupid? Misunderstanding the apostles? Who is misunderstanding?

---Eusebius is cited by the Spanish Jesuit Benito Perera in his Daniel commentary which is online in Latin written in 1588 page 386.

Latin text of Eusebius cited by Benito Perera reads:

Afferit Papias regnum Christi post humana carnu a mortuiu resurrectionem, mille annos humano et corporeo more in terris futurum. Qua quidem dogmata, credo ecum propterea excepisse, quod Apostolicas interpretations, qua ab illu essent exposita sub arcanu figure et obscure parabola, male intellexisset. Nam homo erat, sicut ex Scriptu eius faicle licet consecturam capere, ingrena perquam tenuis.

English Translation of Eusebius text:

Papias brings forth the kingdom of Christ after the resurrection from the dead in human flesh, which will be on earth for a thousand years in a human and corporeal fashion. I believe that he took these dogmas with him for the reason that he had misunderstood the Apostolic interpretations, which had been expounded by him under a mysterious figure and an obscure parable. For he was a man, as it is difficult to infer from his Scriptures, of extremely fine grain.

---Is your pastor not preaching the millennium? Is he preaching the millennium but like Eusebius before the Second Coming? Good morning. You need to move. When? Immediately. Papias was like an Adventist preaching John in Revelation correctly. Get correct immediately.
