---Christ was the Lamb slain from the foundation of the World, says the apostles and add Paul in Ephesians 1:4 for the council of the Trinity before Sin that should sin come, Christ gave Himself willingly for that event, thus slain de iure which would become slain de facto in 31 AD. Slain in principle that would become slain in fact in 31 AD.

---The other texts are listed by Alberto Timm carefully: Revelation 13:8; Acts 2:23; and 1 Peter 1:19, 20.

---The slain is symbolic and typified in the sacrifices after the sin of Adam and Eve pointing to the real Lamb Christ that would come.

---Ellen White said some very good material on this pre-plan of the Trinity before sin. It is not an “afterthought”. They were not caught “unplanned”.

---“The plan for our redemption was not an afterthought, a plan formulated after the fall of Adam. .  .  . It was an unfolding of the principles that from eternal ages have been the foundation of God’s throne.”—Ellen G. White, The Desire of Ages, p. 22. No theologian, said this. It is as biblical as you can get. Why did the theologians not mention this? The Spirit was part of the Trinity and packed in Ephesians 1:4 revealed it as such to Ellen White.

---We do not talk about Calvin’s pre-planned, pre-saved, pre-pushed and subsequently forced selection of cherry-picked people. This is not the “unfolding of principles of God’s throne”. It is classical predestination which is not biblical.

---With Calvin everything is from above. With Ellen White it is interactive depending on the decision and will of the human creature in concert with God. With Calvin it does not matter. With Ellen White it does.

---The concept of substitutionary death of Christ was typified by all sacrifices since sin until Christ the Lamb would arrive.

---That is why we use the terms de iure and de facto to indicate something decided in principle and something carried out finally in reality.

---Why gruesome blood to symbolize Christ’s death on the cross? Because the giving of Christ to die on the cross is not honey smeared on the cross, licking the cross like an icecream. It was violent, blood, painful, suffering and death. It was divine blood given for humans.

---As a young boy, Friedrich Schleiermacher slipped into the library of the Bible loving college of the Moravians to take from the shelves the “forbidden” books of higher-critical skeptics to read. He and his friend did that.

---His father was a Moravian bible believing pastor. A Pietist. Then one day he renounced Christ and wrote to his father saying: “I cannot believe that a loving God will sacrifice His son in a bloody way like this”. Schleiermacher the theologian of skepticism was born.

---His father wrote back to him saying: “Who told you this senseless nonsense? You who was taught by your faithful bible loving mother and how you are now stepping on her teachings? If she was alive how shocked she would have been? I have to renounce you even though I held you to my breast. Because you have crucified the Son of God anew.”

---Young Schleiermacher left the Moravian Theological College and went to the skeptical Universities in Germany to be taught ugly Rationalism denouncing faith in the Word of God.

---God works with us if we believe His Word and live it out obediently.
