---“But Judas did not come to the point of surrendering himself fully to Christ.”—The Desire of Ages, p. 716.

---“In the end, we all have character defects that, if surrendered, can be overcome through the power of God working in us. But Judas did not fully surrender to Christ, and the sin of covetousness, which he could have overcome in the power of Christ, overcame him instead, with tragic results.”

---We all have character and personality defects.

---Beautiful and handsome people with internal defects.

---We dress-up. We meet our friends. We smile all the way. We have a good time. But sometimes, if not taken care of, lurking in us will be the defects.

---How do I know that I have the defects in me?

---When others are hurt by us. That is how we know there is a problem that needs rectification.

---Should I ignore it and just go on?

---No, You need to approach the problem and confess your wrong before God and ask Him to forgive you like He forgave all other people in the Gospels and in the Bible.

---Read the Bible to see how and what you should do.

---Judas was a terrorist who belonged to a civil rights underground movement.

---I was taught by Calvinist professors that Iscariot means the carrier of a knife or dagger.

---He walked with Jesus to see if He is the nationalistic Messiah that was promised to throw off the empire squatting on their land and free them of Roman oppression.

---Liberation Theology at its best. That is Judas Iscariot.

---He wanted to fight systemic wrongs in society with activistic outcries and preparing for an overthrow of the Romans behind the scenes.

---He needed money for that and pocketed from the church, no from the disciples, sorry.

---Every time money was spent for their needs he grumbled. Less money for his own cause.

---Mary putting ointment on Jesus’ feet? Waste of money, he thought.

---But John knew that he stole sometimes of their money. Jesus also knew it.

---Remarkable that Jesus kept giving Judas a chance to change.

---Until the last moment, Jesus treated him with dignity, and Agape appeal.

---Love with outstretched hands. But he got to do what he got to do. Right?

---Do you have to do it too?

---If you do not work on the defects in your life, you are Judas too. Oops.

---When should I change?

---Right now.
