---You must remember that there is no other church that has such a developed grand view of the Judgment, time, process, significance, relevancy to salvation, immediacy as Seventh Day Adventists.

---All other Reformers groups are working with a minimalist view of the Judgment. Judgment is everyday. Or judgment is when you die. Or judgment will be one time at the end when all will come together before God.

---Not so, said the Bible in the judgment time prophecies and judgment process prophecies in Daniel, Revelation and Hebrews. The Sanctuary typology are all interconnected with this. This is the recipe. Show me the cake!

---Finley says that “Some argue that the 2,300 days are literal days.” Oops. Desmond Ford tried to say it following F. F. Bruce of Manchester University, and got in trouble with Adventism and was fired after a big conference in 1980 at Glazier View. He said many of the wrong things Finley is listing here. Non Adventism. But well-backed Reformed ideas.

---“They [Ford and others] also believe that this little horn of Daniel 8 applies to the Seleucid military leader Antiochus Epiphanes (216 b.c.–164 b.c.), who attacked Jerusalem and defiled the Jewish temple, even though 2,300 days does not fit even his time frame.”

---The heathen Porphyry interpreted Daniel like this in the 4^th century and Jerome reacted vehemently against him saying this is impossible if you calculate history of Antiochus very carefully. See Jerome’s commentary on Daniel and his attack of Antiochus Epiphanes as the little horn. Cannot work mathematically. So Jerome said: reject.

---As Edwin Heppenstall showed in Christ our High Priest and William Shea in his lectures in DARCOM and all good Adventist explainers of Daniel 7, the Judgment of the Little Horn and the Little Horn is only after the four empires during them!

---“This interpretation, however, is contrary to the angel’s clear instruction that the vision applies to the “time of the end.” Antiochus Epiphanes certainly did not live at the time of the end.

---In Daniel 8:13-14 Gabriel begins his explanation of the 2,300-day prophecy. ---He names the ram as representing Media-Persia and the male goat as representing Greece (Dan. 8:20, 21). Though not named, as are the two powers before it, the next entity, the little horn, is obviously Rome (Dan. 8:9, 23, 24).

---“He then depicts a kind of religiopolitical phase of Rome, which would “cast down the truth to the ground” (Dan. 8:10–12, 25) and interfere with Christ’s heavenly ministry (Dan. 8:10–12).”

---Always remember here that verse 10 is feminine in verbs because the little horn is feminine. The papacy. The church the woman as symbol of the church.

---In verse 11, Daniel 8:11, the verbs are masculine! What! A trans-sexual power here?

---In verse 12, Daniel 8:12, the verbs are feminine again.

---What is going one here? Feminine = horn = papacy verse 10; masculine = WHO? Verse 11; Feminine = horn = papacy verse 12 again.

---Answer: Satan. Verse 11 refers to the same verbal masculine forms of casting down in Isaiah 14:12-14 and Ezechiel 28 with the description of Satan and Lucifer. Daniel was shown the heart of the papacy: Satan’s actions in the past.

---Unmasking the Little Horn and you see the papacy. Unmasking he papacy and you end with Satan in Daniel 8:11 masculine verbs. Nice right?

---“The cleansing of the sanctuary in Daniel 8:14, the climax of the chapter, is God’s answer to the challenge of earthly and religious powers that have attempted to usurp the authority of God.

---Daniel 8:14 solves the universe problem created by Satan and created by his agencies the papacy on earth.

---But after God gave this vision to Daniel He did not explain it fully but left the explanation for another vision in Daniel 9 to be connected to this one in many ways: Christ, time, beginning time, purpose, solution.

---Do you know that the Catholic Church came to understand also the year day principle. Do you know that the Reformers like George Joye [1542] came to understand it? Hugo Grotius the Calvinist Lawyer around 1650 AD?

---The Catholic Thomas Aquinas agreed that the 490 years of Daniel 9:24-27 pointed to the baptism and death of Christ! Was he an Adventist before an Adventist?

---I do not know how this happened in the 12^th century AD in Europe but that is what he believed. Catholic Father and Theologian of them.

---The starting date of that understanding, Ezra 7 and 457 BC in Daniel 9:24-27, the Catholics and Reformers were supposed to transfer to Daniel 8:14 for the 2300 years not days but prophetic days as years calculation. They did not.

---Result? They know nothing about the 1844 Judgment to begin in heaven.

---The first serious studies on the Sanctuary in Heaven theology in Adventism was on the 1^st of January 1845 by O. R. L. Crosier which was a study on the typology of the sanctuary. Combined with Hiram Edson’s revelation, you can thank God for leading these men to the full truth and not half-truths as the Catholics and Reformers are providing today.
