Thoughts for the Month 本月思想

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness; For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,  I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me, All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.  Psalm 23:1-6

Welcome and Happy Sabbath! We are glad that you have chosen to worship with us today. Please join us for a fellowship meal in the social hall after church service.

Today, our Church Family celebrates Communion Service. We invite all Christians to participate in the Communion Service.

今日本堂將舉行聖餐禮，我們邀請所有基督徒參與此儀式。

Family/Gym Night is this evening at 7:00 pm at Cameron Park Recreation Center. It will be held jointly with members of Los Angeles Chinese SDA Church . Come and join in an evening of fellowship, games and fun. Take this opportunity to know each other better and also to interact with members of our sister church. This evening belongs to all members, adults and children, men and women, young and old. We have reserved the center just for our 2 churches. There will be basketball, volleyball, badminton, table games, children games, etc. , or just hang around. Bring your sporting equipment. The address is 1305 E. Cameron Ave., West Covina. Chinese New Year of the Tiger falls on February 14, 2010. There will be a Chinese New Year Party on February 20th . For information, contact Windy Hwang.

Today’s special offering is for the relief work in Haiti to help our Adventist members who lost their lives as well as for their loved ones to rebuild their lives. As far as we know, within the Adventist Family, 115 Adventist churches had been destroyed, 60 churches sustained severe damage, five schools were destroyed, 600 members perished their lives, another 600 suffered serious injuries, 15,000 families lost their homes and 27,000 are in refugee centers. ADRA, which is a division of our World Church , is providing aids to those affected..

本安息日捐款為海地賑災捐，特為幫助本會在海地的受災家庭及其重建家園的工作。目前所知，本會已有115所教堂倒塌，另有60所教堂嚴重損壞，5間學校完全倒塌，600位教友喪身，另有600位教友嚴重受傷，15,000家庭喪失家園以及27,000位暫居於救難中心。ADRA是本會的一個救援組織，目前正在災區進行救援工作。

The Church Board has voted to designate all loose offerings to the local church budget. If you wish to designate your offerings, please write it in the offering envelopes at the entrance. This new designation will begin with next Sabbath’s offering collections.

堂董會通過凡未指定之奉獻皆歸於本堂之堂費捐。如要指定捐款用途，請註明在信封上，奉獻信封擺放於入口處。此項安排將由下安息日開始實行。

The Youth/YA held its Bible Studies at Dominic and Ruth Chu’s residence at 3363 Rancho Rio Bonita Road, Covina , CA 91724 . It will be held every Friday at 7:30 pm. For information, contact Renata Ganis (714) 496 4897.
