Mission Trip to HongKong





     After finishing the Makao mission trip, we immediatly rode the ferry on Sunday, March 10, and we could arrive to Hongkong safely. Two of church members came to the landing place to pick us up. And we arrived to HongKong Sahmyook University safely by God's mercy.We were so surprised because the accommodation was pretty nice. It was like a hotel.

     From Monday, we started the Gospel week. The speaker was Pastor Kim Si Hyung, and the Theme of this Gospel week was Chosen.

     We had worship and praise time. The theme song was 'Come as you are' which was composed by Pastor Park. First day of the gospel week little tough to us, because we didn't know the atmosphere of this school. However, we did our best to preach our gospel.

      First, to attract them, we started with bright song, called 'Let Us Rejoice and Be Glad'. We could attract them by the action of this song. The action of this song is really active so they enjoyed alot. They didn't follow us immediately, but as time goes by, they enjoyed alot. This song was one of the MAIN KEY to open their heart.

     At 8:30, we started from Primary school students. They were so cute and pure. We also had worship and praise time. The songs were chosen for children. 'Let Us Rejoice and be Glad' was also sang in Primary school, and they loved it. And we prepared interesting stories. We prepared some pictures, heart papers to attact them. Also, after the stories, we had some quiz for them, and when they give an answer, we gave them a small present. And after the story, we invited a different student everyday to pray. That was the most important time. They volunteered to pray for the first time, so all the teachers and pastor were surprised. It was a good chance to show God's love easily.

     Before we start our college meeting, from 9:00 to 9:20, we had a prayer meeting with some college students. We prayed for the gospel week, and students.

     From 10:10 to 11:30, we had a college meeting. We started with worship and praise. Of course, there was no reaction on Monday, however, with singing,and having a action songs, they enjoyed and followed us actively.

Before the sermon started, we had special songs.

     Pastor Kim gave us great sermons. His sermon was powerful and interesting to them. They listened carefully. They sometimes laughed and shaked their head to agree. Pastor Kim delievered God's Message with his all mind and soul.

    

     From 11:30 to 12: 20, we started Secondary meeting. The number of the secondary was quite small so it was like a small group, and they were so quiet and didn't reacted actively so we thought that they were not interested in our songs and sermons. However, we realized that they were touched by our praise and sermon, and they really missed us. So they invited us to their program, and we took some pictures and they also gave us special T- shirts with special logo. We were very touched by them, and we miss them all.

     On Wednesday and Thursday, we gave them decision cards. Some students were decided to study Bible, and through this gospel week, some students experience God.

     Every night, we had recreations with the dorm members to cooperate together. Around 30 students joined these programs, and the leader of these programs was Harry. With those programs, we could be closer with them. There were not only games but also lessons, so they could feel something important through those games.

     On Wednesday, students prepared some outside activities, so we gathered and had an interesting time.

They made 4 groups and played with each members with shouting each mottos.

      With all AY members, and pastor cho, and pastor, Kim, Golden Angels.

     On sabbath day, we had a sabbath school program.

      In the evening of sabbath day, there was a music concert at the gym. The purpose of this music concert was to donate some money to India. The students at the picture went to India for mission trip. They felt lots of things there, and decided to have a music concert to gather and donate money to India. So they sold foods and pictures that they had taken. It was a great time and we were really happy to join that program.

      Everything was finished at HongKong, and all friends were with us until we go the Taiwan. A week in HogKong was really wonderful and precious time for us. We are very thankful to all friends and pastor and his family wth all the help and caring. With a painful sense of loss, we went to Taiwan to preach God's love
