The Multi-Cultural Family Service Center in Ansan celebrated the Korean New Year, commonly known as Seollal. Korean New Year is typically a family holiday. The three day holiday is used by many to return to their hometowns to visit their parents and other relatives where they can perform ancestral ritual.

Since the center is the home of many foreigners, they celebrated the Seollal together as one big family. The children, no matter which country they are from wore   and performed the traditional bow to the director and some elders of this center. Yut Nori, a traditional board game was played. The dinner was enjoyed by everyone because each country's traditional food was prepared and shared with each other. After dinner, a movie prepared by the center's associate director Pastor Alvin, was watched by everybody according to their own language.

The following day before breakfast, the director of the center, Pastor Kim Young Soo gave an inspiring message. After breakfast, two buses were chartered to bring the foreigners to Hapy land Spa. There, they enjoyed swimming and   sauna for the whole day.

As a foreigner myself, I am so blessed to be a member of this one big family in this Multi-Cultural Family Service Center. This is our home far away from home. Time will soon come when all of us will be gathered in our heavenly home where we will never be called foreigners anymore. There, we will meet our Father who will give us eternal blessings.
