THE BRIEF HISTORY OF INDIAN GROUP IN ONAMI.

               A young boy of  around 26 yrs old named Lukinder Singh from India, known as "RAJU" who came to South Korea to work and earn money.  In the year 2001 in his friend's house he was very fortunate to meet a friendly & kind hearted deaconess of Adventist Church, Onamni "CHOI JONGSOOK" also know as RANI among Indians. The friendship of the deaconess made him to attend Adventist Church,  though he was from Hindu Sikh family ( Hinduism- major religion in India). He attended the church but prayed to his god in his heart, latter as the friendship grew he had Bible study with the church "Pastor JO SEOKHO". Pastor was visiting Raju's house regularly and also Raju was visiting Pastor's house & they were studying Bible together. When they studied about the book of Daniel, Raju understood that the real God is Jehovah and he whole heatedly started attending Adventist Church regularly. After 8 months and 15 days he was Baptized on 18th  May, 2002, though most of his friends were stopping him from Baptism, but he says  "I  have already given my heart to Jesus ." And the place he used to work gave him off on Sabbath to attend the church.

                  Church Pastor motivated Raju to share the love of Jesus to his friends in  Korea. Raju invited his friends to attend the church, and 17 friends attended on 3rd August 2002. Amen. This gave rise to Indian group. Raju was the translator in the church every week and many used to attend the church. Due to some reason Raju went to India, and the Indian member's were decreasing since there was no Translator,  so the Church invited Raju back to Korea on 3rd  June 2003. He came back as a MISSIONARY for the Lord Jesus. In Nov 2003 "FIVE" of his friends were baptized & Indian church was registered on 13th Dec 2003,  HUNDRED of them attended the church. And on 1st March  2004, "Pr. JO SEOKHO" was transferred and next "Pr.JANG SUNSEONG" took in charge.

In June 2005- 8 Indians were Baptized, 2006- 2 were baptized, 2007- 4 were baptized , 2008- 3 were baptized, 2009- 3 were  baptized. AMEN.  Latter Pastor.JANG was transferred and in the year 2009 "PASTOR CHONG KWANYONG" was in charge of the church till date. Unfortunately Raju went back to India on 25th August 2010. Some went back to India too. Some are here and continue to have fellowship in the church every Saturday evenings. Please remember this small group in your prayer to know the Love of Jesus. God is good all the time. Elder HWANG CHONG WOON & his wife deaconess.CHANG HEON SOOK and decaconess.CHOI JONG SOOK were supportive in the Indian group since 11 years till now and not to be forgotten deaconess. LEE SENG JIN who is picking up Indian member's in the van from last 11 years till now. May God richly bless them all for their service.
 

Thanks to Pr.MISSION KWON for his support & visit on 12th March, 2011 and word of exaltation. Last year on 25th November 2010, I came here as a Missionary assigned from 1000 MM after serving 4 months in Philippines.

Please keep this small group of Indians in your prayers as we meet every Saturday evening. God willing please do make a visit.
