The Call


There's a call going out to all nations

To people both far and near

Whom shall I send to bear the message

that lost souls need to hear?



It may not be somewhere overseas

Or on some distant shore

God could be calling you to witness

At the house next door



He may not need you to cast out demons

or heal some strange disease

You may just need to bear them up

by going on your knees



You may not make your home in jungles

Or preach to multitudes

Perhaps you could be a "light" to those

in surrounding neighborhoods



You may not need to scale high mountains

Or brave an angry sea

But when you say " I am willing Lord "

He'll take you to where you should be



The field is ready for harvest

But the laborers they are few

Won't you just pause to listen?

God could be calling you



So as He makes that call

What will your answer be?

I pray we'll answer boldly saying:

"Lord, here am I, send me!"


I am no Shakespear, but I pray that whoever reads this would be encouraged to do their part as witnesses for Christ. Jesus is coming soon and there are so many around us who have not accepted Him as their personal Savior.  It's always a great adventure working with Christ, for Christ. We do not necessarily have to go into fields abroad. There's a work to be done, wherever you are. People around us have an emptiness that only Jesus can fill. Perhaps God would like to use you to meet some kind of need in their lives and in so doing, draw them to Christ. Let us be His witnesses wherever He places us. May our hearts burn with the passion for winning lost souls. Being a missionary can be tough at times, but to me, it is also the greatest honor and indeed a privilege.Nothing satifies the soul more than giving yourself wholly to God and allowing Him to use you for His glory. Be blessed as you witness for Him:-)
