미국의 BMW 선교회 가 소개, 한국의 원주 새하늘 교회 서 인한 집사님 (신일 건설 회장-횡성)이 헌금해서, 콩고의 북동부 아루 지역 예키야 의 나체촌에 “벧엘 서 고등학교”가 준공 (2009년 12월19일) 되었읍니다.

이미 이 학교는 2009년 9월 7일부터 일부 수업을 시작하여 약 65명의 학생 (1,2학년) 이 수업을 받고 있읍니다.  비 공식으로 2년간 5,6학년도 수업을 받은 초등학교 학생들도 공식 인정을 받고, 고등학교 교사 내에서 함께 수업을 받게 됬읍니다.

학교 주변 50키로 반경내에 고등학교가 없기 때문에, 남여 기숙사를 지었고, 또한 기숙생을 위란 식당을 건설했읍니다. 이 학교 설비는 약 300명의 학생을 충분히 수용 할수 있으며, 이 지역사회에 큰 공로를 할겁니다.

준공식에 도지사 죤 피터, 군수 포스터 에자티, 경찰국장 자카리아, 추장 올로코로 및 대회장 키순주 목사, 마하 선교의 마렘베 목사등이 참석 약600여명의 손님이 참석하여 성대히 준공식이 거행 되었읍니다.

실습 도구 및 교사가 준비 되면 지원할 학생이 약 100여명 대기 상태 입니다. 전혀 문명과 거리를 두고 살던 나체촌의 “룩바라”족이 이제는 교육을 통하여 문화생활에 근접하게 되었고, 기술을 배워 직업, 소기업 등을 이어나가며, 지역발전에 큰 공헌하길 기도 합니다.

2007년 8월 처음 선교시작 하여, 이제는 주위의 비 나체족 보다도 더 발전된 모습을 보여주는 “벧엘”(재림교회 이름; 이제는 지역 이름으로 됬음)은 하나님의 백성임을 알며 자부심을 갖이고 살아가고 있읍니다. 이 엄청난 변화가 가까운 미래에 이 지역 지도자를 배출해 내며, 하나님을 믿고 성화된 삶을 살게 하나님께서 결코 이 들을 잊지 않으시고 축복해 주셨읍니다.

서 인한 집사님은 또한 많은 의약품 (오창준 의사 및 위생병원 증정), 학용품과 특히 학생들에게 고급 학생 유니폼을 증정해 주셨읍니다.

벧엘에는 이미 농사 시험농장이 있고, 진료소(룩바라 현지인 간호원)가 생겼으며, 깨끗한 식수 공금이 되고 있읍니다.

앞으로 준비되는대로 목공반, 기계공업반, 컴퓨터 반이 생길 예정 입니다.

마하 선교

                    Bethel Seo High School - Grand Opening

On Dec.19, 2009, Bethel Seo High School was opened in Yekia area, Aru district, northeastern part of Congo DR; it used to be called “naked tribe” (Lugwara).

Part of Lugwara tribe has been residing in this part of the world in about 20km radius,  53km northwest of Aru, a border town, away from civilization, until August of 2007 when Maha Mission has visited them for the first time.

Since then, the whole community of 6,000 people were going through changes; changes for better life, life that is compatible with the love of God who has not forgotten them.

Dignitaries have joined to celebrate;

John Peter,        the chief administrator of the region,

Foster Ezati,      Ariwara Administrator,

Zacharias           Police Chief,

Chief of the tribe            Olocolo,

NKF President    Pastor  Kisunzu,

Maha                Pastor Malembe.

This is the only and the first high school in 50-60km radius and thus will benefit not only naked tribes but outside local community residents as well. For students coming from far away, we built boys and girls dormitories with canteen. Bethel Seo High School can accommodate about 300 students.

The 1^st and 2^nd grade already started classes by Sept.7, 2009. And currently there are about 65 students enrolled and another 100 waiting for 3^rd grade opening soon as soon as equipments and teachers are available. They will have carpentry class, electro-mechanic class and computer class.

Maha Mission has visited this place first time on August 2007 and they were still living without clothes. Today they have all changed; agriculture farm, clean water projects, clinic (local person trained as nurse), 2 classes of elementary school and now a new high school!

God has not forgotten them but blessed them so that they can live a civilized better sanctified life style. All these changes will produce good leaders very soon to this community, we are sure.

Mr.Seo, the kind donor, has also brought as gifts, medicines (donated by Dr. Oh and Korea Adventist Hospital), stationeries, and high quality school uniforms for students.

For this vision to come to be true, Maha Mission appreciates BMW and Mr. Seo who made this high school possible.
