"에코베레티" 마사이 선교보고 제 2신: ("Ekobereti" Maasai Mission Report; Part 2)09년 10월 17일 안식일
 
제2부 입니다.  2주 사이에 어떤 변화가 있는지 사진을 보아주십시오,
"에코베레티" 라는 아무도 찾지 않는 가깝고도 먼 마사이 촌에,
단 2주 사이에 교회가 섰습니다.  그리고 학교도 섰습니다.
비록 양철로 만든 교회와  학교이지만 마사이 족에게는 경이로운 사건입니다.
그래서 오늘 안식일에 하나님떼예배 드리는 법, 설교 등을 소개하고, 
비록 4명 이지만 침례식을거행 합니다.

침례탕은 교회 뒤에 웅덩이를 파고, 
봉고로 5km밖에서 수 많은 물통으로 두번이나 물을 길어다 부어,
텐트 기지를 씌운 안에다 부어 만듭니다.
 
성경을 나누어 줄때의 모든 표정은 신비합니다.
절반 이상이 읽을수 없으나, 그들의 "말씀"에 대한 경건한 모습,
또 신비한 호기심을 가지는 모습은 감탄할 수 밖에 없습니다.
어떤 여자분은 교회 설교단 앞 옆에 앉아서 성경을 열심히 들여다 봅니다. 
두 마사이 목회자가 번갈아 통역 합니다.
그 동안 수고한 자원봉사자가 특송을 부릅니다.
물론 반주는 없으나  천사의 음성 입니다.
그들의 눈시울이 적셔진 것을 봅니다.
 
원래는 14-15명이 침례 받으려 했으나, 영국성공회 목사(마사이)가 이 동네 분들께 재림교는 
단 며칠 사이에 침례를 주려는 사이비 종파라 해서, 순수한 이들이 많이 마음이 돌아섰습니다.
예배후 교회와 학교 인계식을 할때야, 추장이 이 목사의 잘못된 것을 때닫습니다.
좋은 일에 마귀가 항상 불청객으로 나타나는 군요.
아직 평신도 목회자 배정은 못했으나, 불원간 순회 목회자를 두려 합니다.
불 지른 이들의 심령위에 성화된 삶을 살수 있도록 인도해 주어야 신앙이 자랍니다.
 
이제 이 새로운 교회가 앞으로 얼마나 많은 영혼을 구할지는 우리 기도에 달렸습니다.
이곳에도 빨리 이동진료방식을 도입하여(1주일에 1-2번은 진료를 하여)
간단한 병을 고쳐주면 좋겠습니다.
이들의 병은 심각한 것은 없고, 바람, 먼지, 일교차 등으로 인한 호홉기질환, 피부병, 눈병  등 입니다.
골치가 아픈 환자가 많습니다.
 
아! 하나님, 이 마사이 족속을 축복 하여 주시고, 이들도 당신의 자식이오니, 믿음을 받아 주시옵소서.
그들의 죄를 용서하여 주시고,예수님을 받아 드려 하늘 나라에 가는 영원한 삶을 허락하여 주십시요. 아멘.

"Ekobereti" Maasai Mission Report; Part -2    (Oct. 17, 2009)
 
 
Look at what 2 weeks of works by a handful of dedicated people do.
 
Only 2 weeks ago, this place was a desert, with a small school that can hold
 
about 10 children, made of mud.  Although these were made with iron sheet
 
with timbers, there it is a CHURCH, AND a SCHOOL!  Of course, with nice wooden
 
beches in it.
 
Today, Oct.17, 2009 - Sabbath, this is a first day of their accepting Jesus. Just
 
imagine how many sould would be saved through this new church!
 
There was a "Sermon" on what is all about "the Bible",the very Word of God.
 
Then we distributed red colored Biblia written in Maasai language...only less than half
 
of them will be able to read and understand. But it does not matter. The factthat now
 
they have Bible...this is important.  Look at those who are carefully handling Bible,
 
their reverend mind and attitude to what they were told through sermon that it is
 
a Word of God.  That's important. A woman sitting on dirt ground front of alter is
 
so carfully examining what is inside.
 
Then, baptism...4 people.  Originally 14-15 persons were supposed to baptised. Then,
 
suddenly self-proclaiming Anglican preacher(Maasai) show up and went around telling
 
people that the Adventists are wrong people trying just to baptize prematurely.
 
Evils are around whenever good thing are being done. Only by the time the school
 
building and the church was being handed over to the Chief, then, they understood
 
we did not have any other motives.
 
Although we , we were not able to allocate a steady lay preacher to this church,we
 
plan to do so soon. Wish we can soon introduce this "Mobile Clinic" concept we developed
 
in Congo DR, healing many Maasai. Maasai do not have a serious illnesses, nor sicknesses.
 
Most of problem comes from dusts, cold/hot weather, skin related and thus throat
 
infections.  Once we educate their health concept,much will improve.
 
We pray God will bless these Maasai people so that soon they will repent and accept Jesus
 
and have an everlasting life. O Lord, please come quickly!
