물로 심판, 불로 심판
Judgment by water, Judgment by fire

"I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth." Genesis 9:11

cut off: 잘라버리다
destroy: 파괴하다, 파멸시키다
Question: What is the content of the covenant?
a. There will never be flood
b. There will never be world-wide flood to destroy all
c. People will never be punished again

"내가 너희와 언약을 세우리니 다시는 모든 생물을 홍수로 멸하지 아니할 것이라 땅을 멸할 홍수가 다시 있지 아니하리라." 창세기 9:11

질문: 여기 언약의 내용은 무엇입니까?

그분의 말씀대로 다시 홍수로 온 땅이 멸절되지 아니하고 오늘까지 보존되었습니다. 예수께서 노아 홍수의 역사성을 증거하신 것처럼 사도 베드로도 물의 넘침으로 세상이 심판받은 것을 인정했습니다. 예수께서 노아의 홍수를 마지막 심판의 표상으로 가르치시며 권고하신 것처럼 베드로도 그러합니다(베드로후서 3:3-7). 마지막 사건들은 창세기의 역순이 될 것입니다. 즉, 창조된 세상이 홍수로 멸망한 것과 반대 과정으로 마지막 때 세상이 불로 멸망하면 죄없는 세상이 다시 회복될 것입니다. 그리고 그 역사의 한가운데 우리 주님의 십자가가 서 있습니다.

As He said, the world was not destroyed by flood any longer and preserved until now. As Jesus witnessed the historicity of Noah's Flood, apostle Peter also recognized the judgement of the world by the Flood. As Jesus taught the Flood as a type of final judgment, so did Peter (2 Peter 3:3-7). Last events will be in the reverse order of Genesis records. The created world was destroyed by the Flood. In the reverse order, when the world will be destroyed at the End by fire, then it will be restored to be without sin. And in the middle of this history, there stands the cross of our Lord.
