First ever Adventist Pastor dispatched to Biringi, Ituri, Congo DR:

On May 30, 2010, there was a devotional to dispatch Pastor and Mrs. Kasereka Kanyamusindi to ”Biringi”, Ituri at Bethel Church.

To our courageous and dedicated pastors who volunteer to go to unentered area, what Maha can do is a prayer. They go only with faith.

Since 2009, Maha Mission planned strategic locations of more remote and unentered areas and dispatched volunteer pastors officially through the Field (SDA).

Maha Mission is a mission arm of GWS (Global Welfare Supporters, an NGO registered in Korea)

and combines welfare services, however, its main objective is Mission.

Maha works parallel with SDA by supporting existing organizations, but the main thrust is under the motif of “ends of the world” and “every tribe” as follows;

(1)   “Camp Mission” – out of urban but with possible liaison with SDA organization, such as “Pigmy Camps”, “Native Tribe’s Camp”, e.g.;

1.     Pigmy mission in Congo DR – 27 camps by 5 resident pastors

2.     Naked tribe in Congo DR – 2 pastors

3.     Lira in Uganda – 5 Lay pastors (3 supported by an elder from Mukdong SDA, Korea, 2 by retired Pr Park, YH of USA)

4.     Kasese in Uganda – 5 Lay pastors (2 supported by an elder from Mukdong SDA.

(2)   “Frontier Mission” (not name) – far and remote, no connection with SDA, unenterred area of no Gospel, e.g.;

1.      Pr Wathum, dispatched to “Wanga”, 300km west of Aru, Oct.,2010 (sponsored by Mukdong SDA, Korea)

2.     Pr Ukumu, dispatched to “Bovi”, 135km west of Aru, oct.,2010 (sponsored by Pr PD Chun, Korea)

3.     Pr. Wayawesa Yaufa, dispatched to “Gbadolite”, 1,500km north-west, Oct., 2010 (sponsored by Dr. CS Lee, USA)

Remark: Pr Ukumu was called in to be promoted to a station director of Mahagi, voted and replaced by Pr Kanyamusindi, who was also voted to minister in Biringi instead of Bovi.

“Frontier Mission” has characteristics of a special God’s call, Maha commits to support most ministerial activity expenses, and when 30 or more members are achieved, Maha supports construction of church, urging to branch out in about 2 years.

Afterwards, this church will be re-classified as “Camp Mission”.

Pastor Kanyamusindi has just graduated from Lukanga SDA theology and also just been married.

We specially pray for him so that God bless his ministry in Biringi where no one ever heard about Adventism.
