The time is at hand when there will be sorrow in the world that no human balm can heal. The Spirit of God is being withdrawn. Disasters by sea and by land follow one another in quick succession. How frequently we hear of earthquakes and tornadoes, of destruction by fire and flood, with great loss of life and property! Apparently these calamities are capricious outbreaks of disorganized, unregulated forces of nature, wholly beyond the control of man; but in them all, God's purpose may be read. They are among the agencies by which He seeks to arouse men and women to a sense of their danger.--Prophets and Kings, p. 277

Japan's demise is one of the greatest examples of suffering the world could ever see. Houses were erased in an instant, terrains were changed in a single moment and lives were lost in a blink of an eye. And the misery doesn't end there, the after effects of the calamity that struck Japan brought its people to their knees, crippling every source of basic necessities people could tap upon. Fear is in every hearts of the people, uncertain of what tomorrow will bring them.

People all over the world may now think that if there is a real God that exist --then He must be mad at them. How about God's own people? Those who were called by His Name? What should they think regarding this matter? This should open the eyes of God's people that things like this can work out as He wonderfully purposed it. This should be a time where God's people be agents that can turn the situation from good to bad! To be a vessel of mercy for those who utterly needs it. God's purpose was to open the eyes of the people to the realities that events like these is a time where God's mercy, grace and love is magnified to it's fullest!

Be His chosen vessel of the wonderful purpose that He has for the people suffering in times like these. As God's people, this should be an eye opener that times like these are the best opportunities to help.
