One man can change:   Ion Talmazan - Maha missionary from Moldova;
 
             Changing lives of Congolese in Bethel, formerly a naked compound.
 
 
 
During evangelism in Tiraspol, Moldova, end of November, 2009 (issued mission report), a young man came to Tiraspol SDA Church. He wanted to come to Congo DR as a missionary. Because it was a cold night and the church had to be closed after service, I asked him to come to Moldova Union on the following day.
 
We were not able to meet again in Chisinau.  But after several months, he came to Nairobi, Kenya, and we met at home of AUA (Adventist University of Africa) Professor Dr.Gheorghe Razmerita, who comes from Moldova. Gheorghe and his wife Diana confirmed Ion's faith and his claimed theology and Bible.
 
Ion (John in English) Talmazan, a Moldovan, married with 2 small children, was a volunteer pastor-missionary to Rashia (Siberia) Noiabrisk in Russia for 2 years, speaks fluent Russian, Romanian and haltingly English.
 
Ion has joined Maha Mission and temporarily working in Bethel where formerly was a naked tribe compound. After several months, he will be a starting member of "Biringi", a future Adventist town, near "Aru" 
 
Ion's specialty is construction and can also help agriculture, and promised to learn Lingala, widest spoken dialect in Congo so that he can teach Bible and preach in Lingala.
 
We believe all and any project of God begins with one man. One man can make changes. Once people get changed, they sure will not go back. We as missionaries in Africa are here to make changes; changes for better living, healthier and happy life and amongst all changes to eternal life by accepting Jesus.
 
Ion is already making changes. Please enjoy photos we have attached. I was not able to do this 3 years ago. Why?   I only talked, but Ion practiced and showed them.   Now, will they continue to cook in smoke filled kitchen, or smoke free system Ion has made for them?  Their choice.
 
Will they accept Jesus for everlasting life?   It is also their choice.  We are only showing how.
 
Why we are doing this?

Because we are free in Jesus and we are happy in Jesus.  We only give them our testimonies.
 
Maha would like to build an ideal "Adventist Town" in Biringi of 200 hectares of land.
In addition to local community, anyone and everyone can come to work, and everyone will be fed
health food with clean environment God created for us humans to live and enjoy our happy life.
We want to show them rich life.
 
For this goal, Ion has already started to make changes...one man can do with God's help!
