---Psalm 110 was correctly understood by
the Christian Jews of the era of Christ. ---All the Jewish authors of the New
Testament understood Psalm 110 correctly. ---Psalm 110, Psalm 8 and Isaiah 53 are
three of the most difficult passages for Judaism to grasp. ---The reason is that they have a
renunciation pushdrive against Christ as messiah. ---Christ was one of them and had a very
soft space for them. But they did not want to listen. So He cried from the
Mount of Olives about them. ---When Christ was resurrected, He was
exalted to sit with the Father on His throne. ---Paul in Ephesians clearly worked with
this reading of Psalm 110. ---It means that the Holy Spirit (also
God) packed into the Holy Scriptures of the Old Testament times the suitcase of
the Messiah. ---Paul merely took out what the Holy
Spirit put in. ---The Christological centrality of Christ
in the universe is a fact. ---Ephesians 1:22 reads that the Father
has put all things under His feet and gave Him the head over all things to the
church. --- Aorist past tense. He did it already. De iure He did but de facto He will do it after the completion of the work in the
Sanctuary as we see in Revelation 14 at the end. ---The work of Christ is not complete yet.
Certain aspects of the total work of Christ is already completed and cannot be
repeated: His sacrifice, His death, giving His blood and this is mentioned many
times in the Book of Hebrews. “Once and for all”. ---Even though all things are subjected to
Christ (hupotaxen) He still honors the Father as the main power to Whom He
addresses all His actions in the Sanctuary. ---The Sanctuary service in heaven in not
yet completed. Unfinished business. ---Why is there a delay in His coming?
Work not finished yet. ---So what is your task? Are you a Jew who
still read Psalm 110 as David asking someone to sit with him on the throne? ---Did you see how the Targum Jonathan to
the Prophets have mutilated the original Hebrew text of Isaiah 53? ---Reality denial by Jewish scholars and
Rabbis in the past.
