직접 찾아오시는 하나님
God visits in person

Genesis 11:5-7
5 But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that the men were building.
6 The LORD said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.
7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other."

plan: 계획하다
impossible: 불가능한
confuse: 혼동케하다, 혼란시키다
understand: 이해하다
Question: What did God do?
a. He watched them from heaven.
b. He came down.
Question: Why did God come down?
a. He was interested in human beings.
b. He cared for them.
c. He wanted to punish them by Himself.
Question: The LORD is one. Then how could He say "Let us..."?

창세기 11:5-7
5 여호와께서 사람들이 건설하는 그 성읍과 탑을 보려고 내려오셨더라
6 여호와께서 이르시되 이 무리가 한 족속이요 언어도 하나이므로 이같이 시작하였으니 이 후로는 그 하고자 하는 일을 막을 수 없으리로다
7 자, 우리가 내려가서 거기서 그들의 언어를 혼잡하게 하여 그들이 서로 알아듣지 못하게 하자 하시고

질문: 하나님께서 어떻게 하셨나요?
a. 하늘에서 그들을 지켜 보셨다
b. 하나님께서 내려오셨다
질문: 왜 하나님께서 내려오셨나요?
a. 사람들에게 관심이 있으셨다
b. 사람들을 돌보셨으므로
c. 직접 그들을 벌하시려고
질문: 여호와 하나님은 한 분이십니다. 그런데 어떻게 “우리가 ...”라고 말씀하실 수 있었나요?

천사를 시켜 창조하신 것이 아니라 직접 말씀으로 창조하실 때도 "우리가 우리 모양대로 사람을 만들자"고 하셨다. 아담이 범죄하였을 때도 직접 찾아오셔서 "아담아, 네가 어디 있느냐" 하신 그 하나님께서는 여기서도 "우리가 내려가자" 하시며 직접 바벨탑의 현장으로 내려오신다. 동일하신 하나님께서 천사나 어떤 피조물을 시켜 우리를 구원하신 것이 아니라 친히 사람이 되어 우리 죄를 위하여 십자가를 지셨다. 그리고 바로 그 주님께서 친히 재림하셔서 우리를 하늘로 이끄실 것이다.

When God created, He didn't ask any angels to create, but He did in person by His word, saying "Let us make man in our image." When Adam fell, He visited him in person and called "Adam, where are you?" Here also, God decides to come down in person saying "Let us go down." The same God, not asking any angel or any other creature, but He Himself by becoming a human being, came down to redeem us, to die on the cross for our sin. And that same Lord will come again to lead us unto heaven.
