Probably one of the greatest cuneiformists of the twentieth century is
Friedrich Delitzsch.

In his book Babel and Bible (1902) translated by Thomas J. McCormack in English of
which a copy is online at:

http://www.archive.org/details/babelbible00deli

he said on page 61-62 that there are three tablets dating to the time
of the father of Hammurabi (our dating thus prior to 1796 BCE), which
read

Ia- ah- ve- ilu    =   "Yahweh is god"
Iu- hu- um- ilu    =   "Yuhum is god"

van wyk notes:

1. This means that already before 1796 BCE the names Yahweh and El appeared together.

2. It means that the theories of Julius Wellhausen and Robertson Smith should be wiped under the carpet.

3. As was expected by keen readers of the Word of God, the hermeneutics of suspicion trying to make a fabrication of the Bible by pointing to either inconsistencies or patterns, does not work.

4. The appearance of Yahweh in Genesis is not post-Exillic and neither is the appearance of El.
