Textual Criticism is a humanistic undertaking that has crept into our seminaries all over the world and brought with it scepticism against the veracity of the Word of God. The same scientific logic and data is available to the Christian and those believers who are scholars and who do regard the veracity of the Word of God important.

Looking at the same data and searching for alternative explanations, the Text is affirmed and versions are seen as derivatives and thus criticized.

Variants is not a correct description of a different reading. It is not different in the sense that it is of equal value as the Hebrew Text. It is an error of whatever kind, since there is only one correct text, the Hebrew text. Anything else is a derivative. A reading in the Coptic cannot be better than a reading in the Hebrew. The same with the Latin, Greek, Syriac, Aramaic, Coptic and so forth.

The presentation of Daniel 9 is incomplete and in need of completion.

The Syriac is not typed in yet, the translations are not done into English properly yet. Comparisons were not done completely yet and many errors in the versions should still be explained.

The rule is to always work with the Hebrew Bible as the standard that represents the original Word of God 100%.

Anything else is secondary and full of errors, called variants by Textual Criticism of the Humanists in Theological Seminaries.

Daniel 9 is an excerpt of from this researcher's commentary on Daniel which is in two volumes from Daniel 1-12.

It is the dream to complete it but help would be welcome.

Users of this site may use any part of it freely. The hope is that it will inspire young and old scholars to take up their pens and present papers at SBL, ATS meetings, and other Biblical Research commitees.

Dear God

Please provide us the knowledge necessary to read what is presented here with serious respect for your Word, doing our best to safeguard it and not to throw any suspicion on it or emend it in any way. Amen.
