It is noteworthy that all the so-called modern Baal-prophets' fathers were Lutheran pastors. We will list them:

Karl Bahrdt (1742-1791) who lived an immoral life drinking in bars with students and taught New Testament at Halle university. His father was a Lutheran pastor. He died of an unknown disease with an overdosis of mercury.

He rejected the miracles of Kana saying that Jesus sneaked in secretly wine jars in an adjacent room and John was intoxicated when he wrote the story and got the facts mixed up. He rejected the miracle.

Friedrich Schleiermacher (1787) also became a professor at Halle and his roommate Schlegel wrote a letter to his friend Novalis saying that Schleiermacher is critical of anything having to do with the Bible. His father was a Lutheran pastor.

Julius Wellhausen (1844-1918) was the father of Higher Criticism of the Bible and his father was also a Lutheran pastor.

Rudolph Bultmann (1886-1976) rejected miracles by saying that the idea of miracles should be abandoned. His father was also a Lutheran pastor.

It is not to blame the preachers for their children's behavior, but it illustrates that someone can have the total truth and discard it and become deviant.
