Some names meet our eyes: Tarshish refers to Spain and Kittim Cyprus in the Mediterranean Sea. Ashkenaz was the eastern Europe area, and it became a word referring to the European Jewish people. We see the descendants of Japheth as the white people in general who occupied the western world today.
