The presenter [prof. Cho who is the pastor Department Head of Music at Sahmyook University] was taking Morning Manna yesterday. He is also a composer of a number of our hymns in our hymnal.

Always remember that God designed the Sanctuary to have a entry direction from the East to the West. Why? Because pagan religions worship the sun and face the sun when they pray. Got it?

Prof. Cho is very special. He just published a thick book on Church Music. He deals with all aspects of it from a biblical and Spirit of Prophecy point of view. It is a fresh contribution to Adventism Music. The last book I saw is that of Paul Hamel The Christian and his Music. Published in 1973.

The book deserves to be translated in modern languages and distributed globally.

During the Middle Ages the churches chanted. Arabic styles of Islam worship was influenced by Christian and Jews and vice versa, Christians and Jews chant styles were influenced by Islam as well.

That is why modern Judaism cannot show us true worship as it was in Jesus and Moses or David’s days.

Prof. Cho is discussing the brilliant composer J. S. Bach. Very interesting.

He discussed the various chorus styles one get. It is like different paint colors for the artist. Many kinds.

When I studied as a student at our college Paul Hamel The Christian and his Music was our textbook for the class Christian Philosophy of Music. All students on campus had to take this course. Dr. Cho’s book should be made mandatory to all students at Sahmyook for that course.

Our spirit is mixed with the Spirit of God when we listen to this music and lifted up. Is that not right?

The Messiah of Handel was in the Middle of the Eighteenth Century what Ellen White’s book Desire of Ages was for the 1900’s.

If our Theology students do not have in their curriculum The Christian Philosophy of Music, they will be poor pastors. Right?

There is a Christian Seminary in Korea that has a M.Div in Christian Music.

We are very thankful for God’s working in prof. Cho’s life for our church life.

When our leaders turn their backs on the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy then all kinds of strange sounds come in. Right?
