---Our author of the lesson is very thorough. Alberto R. Timm.

---He cites in this morning presentation the exact places where Plato said that man is immortal just like Satan told Eve.

---Satan rebelled in heaven and was not immediately exterminated and he thought, in my opinion, that this fact means he can advocate the immortality of the soul concept.

---Wrong. Prophecy says a Hell is awaiting Satan after a millennium after the Second Coming taking the saints to heaven for their millennial vacation before bringing them back to earth after creating a new heaven and earth, after what? The extermination of evil including Satan.

---The Word of God through the prophets is very clear on this matter. God do what He promised. He will do this too.

---What Timm does not say, is that Plato took a trip to Egypt and Palestine and wrote these books after he returned from Egypt. Rightly he was influenced by Egyptian thoughts of mummification and the concept of the immortality of the ka or soul in Egypt.

---When they built the tombs of the pharaohs in the pyramids, they made two channels running vertical in the pyramid from the sarcophage room, for the travelling of the soul or ka in and out.

--- Ezek 18:4, “Behold all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine. The soul who sins shall die.”

--- Other such texts include Ezek 18:4; Ps 37:9, 34; Ps 68:2; cf John 3:16; Ps 37:10, 20; Isa 40:24; Mal 4:1.

--- While these latter don’t refer to the original death sentence, they emanate from that judgment and were indeed part of the ancient Israelite understanding.

--- Isa 65:20 does not say there will be death in heaven but what happen on earth will not happen in heaven.

--- Psalm 104 does not say death was already at Creation of Adam’s time but of the Creation of the Psalmist time.
