---The Catholic Thomas Aquinas said that if you properly want to understand the prophecies of Daniel 9:24-27 of the 490 days or 7 weeks, then you need to know that one day is one year in prophecy. He lived in the 12^th century.

---So what about the time, times and half a time prophecy of Daniel 7 explaining the period that the Little Horn, that came after the fourth empire, the Roman empire will reign?

---Time = 1 year, and times = 2 years and half a time is half a year. Right?

---So how many days is that? 360 [Babylonian economic year] = 360 + 360 and add half a year = 180 days = 1260 days.

---How many years? 1260 years.

---The Little Horn power that would speak religiously and persecute the saints would reign 1260 years. Aquinas, the Catholic missed this.

---Hugo Grotius [de Groot of Amsterdam the Calvinist Theologian and Lawyer] missed this. But he got the 490 years of Daniel 9:24-27 correct!

---William Tyndale’s editor of his New Testament translation, George Joye got it right in his Daniel commentary of 1542 just like Aquinas and Hugo de Groot or Grotius.  Joye, Catholic and Calvinist all said that one day is one year.

---But they did not say it with the 1260 days prophecy! Oh no! Oh yes.

---Many others did later.

---Including Adventists.

---Constantine started to unify the pagans and the church in 330 AD.

---But it was not until the complete fall of Rome, in 538 AD that the Holy Roman Empire kicked in.

---Justinian came to that year and suddenly he realized that he is so involved in church disputes, that he liked very much, that he asked the people who made his coins to print him no longer as a soldier, militaristic, fighter, politician. No. What then?

---His coins from 538 shows him as a theologian with the cross in his hand and the globe or earth in the other hand. Hello!

---Justinian became on this day a caesaro-papist and the pope in this year became a papal-caesar. Role were switched and the Holy Roman Empire kicked in. In 538 AD.

---If the emperor became a theologian in 538 then the pope became the emperor immediately. And so it was.

---It is told that Gregory the Great was a monk that went to Rome to see the pope. But then the pope died. So two cardinals grabbed him and wanted to make him a Pope.

---He refused and escaped and ran away but they caught him and brought him back. So he became pope. It is told.

---And then a lot of disasters happen in and around Rome and he read the prophecies very well and became convinced that the Antichrist will be inside the church not outside.

---Around 1590 or 1593 he was preaching closeness of the coming of Christ sermons.

---Are you preaching Matthew 24? Are you preaching prophecies or ontology? Existence, feelings, being, I like and I do not like, everyday experiences in nice stories.

---Well the papacy was the power until 1798 AD and they did not like opposition to their views or the views of the church. Only one church.

---So persecution is part of their CV or resumes. Pope after pope. Jesuit after Jesuit.

---But in 1798 Napoleon arrested the pope and brought him to France.

---And the artist of Napoleon in his artbook, has a picture of the pope sitting naked on a chair. How “wounded” he was that he could allow someone to have him [pope] naked on a chair.

---So in one of the letters the pope wrote saying that “the church has been attacked and given a deadly wound by the Antichrist”!
