Prayer for a sick father of a close friend

Dear gracious God

I knock on Your door

fervently tonight to call upon Your healing power.

Healing for a friend of mine's father.

 

If I could  grab Your Hand and touch his body

I would do it right now

but I know

Your Holy Spirit is there with him

and what can be done for him

Your Holy Spirit can do right now.

 

What does it take o Lord

to beg Your action on my friend' s father's behalf?

 

Then again

You alone can see the future

You alone knows what is best.

Do just Your will Lord

Your will with us.

You are the Potter

We are the clay.

Mold us and make us

into Thy will

for in Thy will my restless soul finds peace

and it is in Your peace that I entrust my friend's father.

In your loving and powerful Name

Amen
