listen to the Spirit of God, He becomes your alarm-clock for you. ---He wakes you
up on time for your morning devotion. ---Samuel had
that experience when the Spirit called him in the morning early in 1 Samuel
3:10. ---God wanted
to give a message to this young boy about the priesthood structure that was not
following the Word of God. ---The priests
who were the sons of Eli, did wrong things in the Temple. ---Eli, knew it
but was acting with a permissive spirit. ---It is not
kindness to keep quiet about wrongs we know around us. We have to say “no” for
the sake of the Spirit speaking. ---That is the
main message of Patriarchs and Prophets chapter 57 but also the main message of
the Bible in 1 Samuel 3. ---God wanted
to help Eli to get straight with Him, but he did not listen.
