Understanding
Brexit and the Bible

The 23rd
of June 2016 saw the implosion of the British Government on CNN and BBC right
in front of our eyes. The whole world was shocked how a government can burn
like a mashmellow in the heat of a campfire. Brexit vote by the citizens and
52% wanted out so everything, including the government had to be traded in for
this vote of the people. That is “democracy” people ensured me. But I am still
not so sure. However,
Brexit must be understood in the background of the Bible and God’s role in
history or otherwise you will be confused. Is anyone surprised with the role
and ascend of Trump in the USA? You have to believe that God has a hand in
history as He said in Isaiah to have and in Daniel 2. For those who are just
horizontally inclined, may soon suffer heart-attacks by strange things
happening around. But, this is how it is. God permits, He allows, people and
leaders act within the agenda of His plan and if the agent in His hand boasts
about his/her achievements or is against God, He melts down like Downingstreet
10 that Friday the 23rd of June in front of our eyes. He was proud
to stand for the LGBT agenda [albeit against the Scriptures] just like Obama and he mentioned Obama by name as
he was falling that Friday and so is the Brexit gamechanger. So what we had on
that day and since then, is basically that ISIS succeeded to cause the
migrations with or without the help of the Saudis and other Islammic nations
(some wonder if migration is a jihad by migration? Since there are nearly six
jihad forms listed by scholars, one even economy?) But this is not our topic.
Migrations did play a part, significant or not, in the Brexit move. They came
out of the Euro Union. A union that one may call the Tower of Babel but with
scissors of migration the hand of ISIS basically cut Brexit out of the union. Is that
fair to say? Is it too symbolic with direct links a gap? In
Genesis 11 a similar thing happened. The golden rule in nature is that “birds
of a feather flock together”. That is what happened in history in ca. 2500 BCE.
People wanted to stay together and build a tower since they were wondering if
God can be trusted to not bring another Flood as the one that destroyed the earth
in 2692 BCE with Noah. Therefore, they built this huge tower to remain together
high and dry. But
God was worried about this situation since sin is part of humanity and with all
in one language they may affect each other so negatively just like they did
before the Flood, that the evil will be in forms never imagined before. If they
have different languages and struggle to understand each other, they may be
prone more to respect of other cultures in the sense of not blindly following
but with consideration. It is the twice thinking that God had in mind here. Of
course, people are free to still follow LGBT despite. But they can at least
consider. So the miracle of languages given by God was the scissors that cut
the Tower of Babel in those days in two and sent them migrating all over the earth.
Genetic miracles also occurred in order to bring cultural divides. “Birds of a
feather still flock together” but now in their cultures. Does that mean that
God does not want people of different languages and cultures and races to mix?
No, He never said that. What He wants is that they do not sin but live a life
of sanctification in obedience with His law. “And His law is not difficult”. The
gospel of Jesus message is said by Jesus that it will go to every tongue and
nations on the earth and then the End shall come. The end is near since we are
living in the time of the clay and iron in the foot of the image of
Nebuchadnezzar and the Rock of Salvation, Jesus Christ is soon to appear. Thus,
paying attention to the detail of God in the Bible is to our own benefit.
Isaiah 24:4 tells us that at the End Time “leadership will fade away”. Is it
wrong that people like to be with their own people? No. But remember this, because
this is not heaven, it is natural for people to express themselves with a mixture
of sinful attitudes, caricatures, stereotypification, moods, negative
connotations, doubt, fear, indecency, basically ugly expressions. That is why
we need to know with discretion where to draw the line. To be romantic about
one’s culture or history, is in effect very dangerous. The Christian will be
always involved in cultural reformulation and sifting what is good and what is
not. Always be alert.
Dear God
Help us to live our lives to the glory
of God and not for our own selfish gain. We desire to follow your Scripture and
not superimpose our own values over Your Revelation just because we think we
are in digimodernism and the ancient people knew nothing. Amen
