building a house. I was still a kid. When they finished the house, they
realized they are all inside and there is no windows or doors. Trapped but did
not know how to get out. ---Koreans are sometimes building
panelrooms that way, but then they cut out the door place and the space for the
window. Trapped but found a way out. ---So our lesson talks about an idiom to
be painted into a corner and to have to walk over the paint to get out. ---There is a true story of a team of
painters who was studied by Römer, that painted actually the day after the
Exodus of Israel from the house of Thutmosis III who died that morning in March
in 1450 BC and was never found. But what about the mummy in Chicago Institute
Museum? Not Thutmosis III because Wente et al showed it to be only 35 years
old. The oldest son who died at Midnight. Thutmosis III was never found says
Psalm. ---Thutmosis III, the god of Egyptians not
found! The Israelites who built his tomb all gone? A new team had to continue
painting that day in March in Thutmosis III’s tomb to finish it where the
Israelite painters left it, all scared and superstitious Egyptians who knew
spells were clinging to Egypt’s palace and the tomb. ---So they painted in a hurry, causing
many drops to fall to the ground and did not clean it up. They drew pictures
very unprofessional with thin lines and no muscles. Römer concluded that these
people just wanted to get out. Painting they had to, but no pharaoh who died is
there to be put in the tomb! The gods must be crazy, they thought. They would
be next? They thought. Römer did not say it the way I do but that something
went wrong in the tomb is a fact. ---Faith brings us to a place where we
have to fight superstition. Elijah had to do it with noisy worshippers shouting
for their god Baal on mount Carmel. ---“Shout
for joy to God, all the earth! Sing the glory of his name; make his praise glorious!”
(Ps. 66:1, 2, NIV). ---I once heard Hallelujah shouting
musicians trying to make Adventists raise their hands and shout Amen and
Hallelujah during singing saying Psalm 66 ask them to do so. Not at all. ---The dancing David did before the ark
was outside the temple not inside. The Holy Spirit says Romans 8:26 works with
unspoken sounds thus silence in worship. Just the opposite of the style we find
at Yonsei Central Baptist Church on Youtube. ---Our music teachers at Kindergarten,
Elementary Schools, Middle Schools, High Schools and now College students are
imitating these dancing or yoga styles for the future of Adventism? Think of
Baal dancing around the altar against Elijah. Think of dancing and noisy
worship around the golden calf against Moses. ---Praise the Lord in such a way that
there is no repetitive music that brings the audience into a mass hysteria or
frenzy. No loud acoustics overpowering the audience so they cannot hear the
Holy Spirit speaks in their own minds interpreting God and the Bible for them. ---Who needs the Bible hardcopy when you
have a Smartphone. They think. ---They paint themselves with their faith
in a corner. Like the superstitious painters of the dead Thutmosis III after
the Exodus.
