하나님께서 기억하고 계십니다.
God remembers us

"But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded." Genesis 8:1

remember: 기억하다
wind: 바람
recede: 물러나다, 퇴각하다, 수축하다
Question: What caused the water recede?

"하나님이 노아와 그와 함께 방주에 있는 모든 들짐승과 가축을 기억하사 하나님이 바람을 땅 위에 불게 하시매 물이 줄어들었고" 창세기 8:1

질문. 물이 줄어든 원인은 무엇이었나요?

b. 하나님이 그들을 기억하심
c. 자연적 현상이었음

물이 줄기 시작한 것은 바람 때문도, 비가 그쳤기 때문도 아니라 하나님께서 그들을 기억하사 바람이 불게 하셨기 때문입니다. 우리가 오늘 먹고 숨을 쉬고 기동하여 살 수 있는 것도 하나님께서 우리를 기억하시기 때문입니다. 하나님께서는 우리 한 사람 한 사람의 간절한 소망과 기도를 기억하고 계십니다.

It was not because of the wind, nor because rain stopped, but because God remembered them that the water began to recede. If we can today eat and breathe and live, it is because the Lord God remembers us. He remembers the earnest desires and prayers of each one of us. Amen.
