This researcher was asked by a number of pastors to bring out an overview of the book of Daniel, but not only until chapter 9, but the whole book. To answer their request and give them something to work with, these two papers were designed.
Our local church will start with a Daniel seminar conducted by a pastor from a nearby church. In order to prepare the members for the concepts that he will be bringing with him, especially the beginners in Adventism and in faith in the church, this presentation was born.
The one paper is the template that is given to the whole congregation and the other is the Model answer that the speaker or preacher use to fill in all the detail important to the main frame of the book of Daniel. Someone who has gone through this diagram, may be well grounded as beginner in the book of Daniel and ready to study the book itself with care. This was the aim of the exercise.
Prof. dr. William Shea wrote an e-mail after receiving this diagram on 11 January 2010:
"Your basic diagram of Daniel is very useful, thanks for sending it. Bill" [prof. dr. William Shea]
