이 곡은 우리 나라에서는 장례예배 찬미로 많이 사용됩니다. 그러나 원래는 예수님 재림하실 때 부활한 성도들과 다 함께 하늘 유리 바닷가에 모여 반가운 사람들을 만나서 함께 주님을 찬양하겠다는 뜻의 소망의 노래로 다른 나라에서는 정규 예배 때도 많이 불립니다. 가사가 너무 아름답고 주님께 대한 감사가 넘쳐 흐릅니다.
