Genesis in the SSnet.org series Lesson 13, may the Holy Spirit be the speaker
to your heart. The Topic today
is: "Jacob blessing to his sons and Joseph and Joseph's two sons Manasseh
and Ephraim" The Opening
Hymn will be 229 "Spirit of the Living God" The Sabbath
School Quarterly, downloadable from SSnet.org in the Teacher's Edition is on
page 166 and for the laymen edition or Standard Edition, on page 107. The SSnet.org
site allows anyone, anywhere to read the lesson in their own language. Choose
your own language to see God speaking also to your heart. ---Dr. Doukhan
indicated the biblical position that Jacob blesses his twelve sons with the
promised land dream and specially Joseph and his two sons. ---Manasseh and
Ephraim, the sons of Joseph were blessed. Why? Because their father is part of
the "seed" of Abraham mentioned in Galatians 3:17-19. ---Why is
Galatians 3:17-19 important? For Chronology calculation purposes. The covenant
was confirmed. With whom? Most scholars identify Abraham in this verse. Wrong. ---Dr. Doukhan
just said the promise of the covenant was past on to Joseph because his sons
were also blessed. The 430 years before the law was given in 1448 BC at Sinai
after the Exodus in 1450 BC, was to Joseph's death and not Abraham's. ---Even some of
our famous Adventist scholars made this error in assigning Abraham to the 19th
century BC! It is Joseph's death in 1878 because he was born in 1988, became
110 years old. ---Jacob thinks
past himself to the time when they will settle again in Canaan, in his
blessing, says dr. Doukhan. Paul also thought past Abraham in the words:
Galatians 3:16 "Now to Abraham and his seed the promises were made".
Why scholars stuck with Abraham? Mystery. They miss history of Moses and the
logic. They calculate wrongly. ---30 years
after Joseph's death in 1878, Sesotris III was the ruler that did not remember
Joseph and did not want to either. His face shows a very harsh man. Frowns all
over his face. (see online statues of him). In fact, the Pharaoh of the Exodus
in 1450 BC [Thutmosis III] was so impressed by Sesostris III as the initiator
of the oppression of 400 years, that he made a stela of himself and Sesostris
III together! “Birds of a feather---flock together”. ---Jacob new as
Paul that all the families of the earth would be blessed through this line
because Jesus the Messiah would come through this line as the special
"Seed" of which Paul is also hinting in Galatians. Paul was a careful
reader of Moses. So should we too.
