The morning
Manna will be provided at 6am. Thanks. Studying
Genesis in the SSnet.org series Lesson 8, may the Holy Spirit be the speaker to
your heart. The Topic today
is: "Rebekkah's freedom of choice as wife for Isaac". The Opening
Hymn will be 229 "Spirit of the Living God" The Sabbath
School Quarterly, downloadable from SSnet.org in the Teacher's Edition is on
page 102 and for the laymen edition or Standard Edition, on page 68. The SSnet.org
site allows anyone, anywhere to read the lesson in their own language. Choose
your own language to see God speaking also to your heart. ---Again dr.
Doukhan outlines the role of the Freedom of Choice of a woman in Ancient times.
---Gone is the
accusation of pro-woman ordinationists and femninine activists saying that in
Ancient times under the patriarchal system the women had no power for
themselves. ---Rebekkah
did. Isaac is going to find out about that. ---Doukhan
thought that God is still in control even though we do not choose Him. ---Ultimately
yes, it might be better to bring Satan and his role also in. ---Anyone who
is not obedient to God's wishes in their lives, opens the way for another force
to take control of their events. The evil ones. ---There is no
mid-way where one can be neutral. You cannot say, I do not live for God fully
but I do not want Satan either. ---Hell is
going to be a reality and one better open the eyes about that reality sooner
than later. ---There are
many Adventists kids who are living currently semi-agnostic lives. They come to
church on "high festivals" with mom and dad, but the rest of the year
they live the same as the world. ---It would be
irresponsible to say that "God understands" and is in control anyway
because of His love and mercy. ---What flows
from the cross is not honey, but precious suffering blood. One has to be worthy
of the price He paid for us. ---That is
God's will. It is a contested will. He also honors Freedom of Choice but the
opposition does not.
