the Holy Spirit be the speaker to your heart. The Topic today is: "Dying to self to live for God as a seed” in Morning Manna of the Sabbath School Lesson In the Crucible with Christ”. The Opening Hymn will be 229 "Spirit
of the Living God" The Sabbath School Quarterly, downloadable

explained. I cannot improve on the style. ---John 12:24 say “unless a grain of wheat
falls to the ground and dies, it remains alone…but if it dies, it produces much
grain”. ---Jesus speaks very powerful. My father
use to speak about this seed analogy of Jesus many times in Sabbath School and
in Sermons. ---First, there is the falling. ---The kernel that falls from the wheat
stalk has no control over where or how it falls to the ground. ---It has no control over the ground that
surrounds and then presses over it. ---Second, there is the waiting. ---As the kernel lies in the earth, it
does not know what the future holds. ---It cannot “imagine” what life will be
like in the future, for it is only a kernel of wheat. ---Third, there is the dying. ---The kernel cannot possibly become a
wheat stalk unless it gives up its safe, comfortable situation as a kernel. ---It must “die” = it must give up what it has always been before so it may be
transformed from a seed into a fruit-bearing plant. ---My father use to say, you have to die
to self. Self has to be sacrificed, given up to the will of God. ---Total surrender is necessary.
Half-heartedness is not going to work. ---A mustard seed is very small but it
becomes a very big tree. ---How does biology explain the dying of a
seed to live and grow? ---Archaeology has uncovered seeds of 4000
years before and they grew! How can biology explain that? Look on Youtube in Israel. ---If ever there is evidence that God “switch-on”
life in every seed it is this dying living seed. ---It is a lesson for us what resurrection
is going to be. ---It is also showing His power to
transform lives,
