---Our
lesson today focuses completely on Daniel 12:1-10.
---If
you are long enough an Adventist, you know what it means. The Word of God given
to Daniel a window of the future Time of Trouble. Do we have global trouble
today? Isaiah 24 calls it a time of the drain of the abilities of leadership
globally.
---The
Bible also have the doctrine that before the Time of Trouble kicks in, our
characters need to be refined already. Why? Because the Door of Mercy closed. Why? Because Jesus completed His highpriestly
role in the Most Holy and the Investigative Judgment of Stigma removal of the
all saints, dead and living, is completed.
---At
this late point in history, characters should be refined already. It appears
from biblical literature, that the length of time of the Time of Trouble proper, is only going to be 9 months. The prophets
used the expression of the time of woman
in labor. Very quickly, very short and very intense in world events
climatology, and other.
---It
is a time of reckoning against the wicked not the righteous.
---Uncontrolled
floods, rain, storms, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, heat waves
(dealt with many times in the prophets as an end-time signal), rumors of wars
(Jesus words), and a list of the signals of the Time of the End. Basically,
Last Generation Theology.
---Do
you know that there are "Reformed Theology addicted Adventists" who
now want to cancel LGT Last Generation Theology as just a fairy tale?
---They
are part of the foolish virgins. Oil lamps not prepared.
---The
spiritual young people are divided into two ways: those who love the popculture
to be brought into their worship "bring the secular World to the
pulpit" and others who are the opposite and want to know the Will of God,
though the heavens fall.
---So
there are two kings of pulpit sermons in Adventism: focused only on feeling,
passion, positively on modern secular Theology of the World, speaking only of
love, equity, kindness, peace, but never on biblical interpretation of the
prophets. Prophecies are not popular in their pulpits. It is called
"outdated", narrow-minded.
---Then
there are the wise young spiritual seekers who prepare their oil lamps for the
Time of Trouble, who want to know what the LGT entails. They want to know all
the detail. They are your character development pulpits.
---We
now have a scenario it seems, that secular focused pulpits want to persecute
the character building pulpits and call them heretics! Some are even professors
in theology! God forbid.
---Where
do your spiritual young people go? Character building pulpits. Young spiritual
leaders in the Theology Department slipped out to go on Sabbaths to a character
building pulpit! I have met them returning! Where do you secular pop-culture
worshippers go? Congregate in clusters which instead of calling it fellowship,
they want to call their meetings “festivals”. God said in Hosea and Isaiah
"I hate your festivals".
---So
we can prepare by not been part of the secular World culture that surrounds us
on all sides. Thus our characters can develop properly and all inherited and
acquired habits can be made completely quiet and passive and almost
non-existent if not non-existent. So help us God.
---The
closer we come to Christ, the more miserable we feel. Why? Not becomes we are
sinners but that we were sinners. Our memories are the scars of sin of the
past. The sins are forgiven and cast in the sea, Christ Righteousness made them
non-existent in heaven but the scars remains in our conscience. And Satan keeps
putting his dirty fingers on these scars to tempt us to add to them. Ellen
White says we should not allow Satan to bring us to despair for the past
committed sins forgiven by Christ. Zaccheus was asked to make right what he did
wrong to others, and he did. Because he was forgiven. But he did not focus on
his scars after that and Satan was not able to confuse him. We should not either.
---Because
of the scars, some Adventists think they should focus with secular focused
young worshippers on feelings, kinetics in worship, “hallelujah, Amen!” waving
hands and swaying bodies as part of worship until the person “feels good” and
this is for them a way to quiet their scars of conscience. But Ellen White and
the Bible warns against this kind of worship. It belongs to the Golden Calf
dancers in the time of Sinai in 1448 BC, but not Moses; and the Baal dancers on
mount Carmel with Elijah, but not Elijah.
---We
know it Whom we believe…That is wise.
