now: https://absg.adventist.org/pdf.php?file=2022:4Q:SE:PDFs:EAQ422_03.pdf ---Ellen White is reflected on in this
part of the lesson. ---The Rich Man and Lazarus parable is
to show that there is no second-chance. This life and this life only finito. ---Secondly, the lesson wants to point
out through Ellen White, just like the Apostle Paul was constantly saying in
this letters, that the suffering of the saints are a testimony to us all of
what we should do when we face the same circumstances. ---A retired Systematic Theologian of
the Adventist church is constantly talking about the paradox of the gospel that
it is “I, but not I but Christ Who is in me”. ---Notice that Paul, who said these
words, was doing very well and very good but saying that the good and well he
is doing is not himself only. It is with the help and support and design of
Christ. ---Paradox of the gospel scholars in
general wants to camouflage hamartology or the science of sin. ---They do not want to overcome “all
sins” only some. ---So they create the original sin
inheritance yoke from Adam “preventing them” they claim, from keeping the law
100%. ---Since that is the case, and it is
fine with God, paradox gospel thinkers say, therefore they do not have to keep
the law 100%, keep Sunday, and that is also OK with God. ---Is it? ---Something is lacking here in their
talking. ---One cannot compare a good good with a
good bad situation. Can one? ---And then trying to argue that both
are fine situations. ---What about perfection,
sanctification, holy? ---One is any of these in status [Christ
for us] and now we grow [Christ our example]. ---We have a back-up de iure [100%
potential pointing to Christ] but it has to become de facto [100% with all your
heart (Deuteronomy 6)] in you with the support of the Trinity. ---Two words are important here: DBA and
CEO. ---The CEO of my life is the Trinity
after conversion. ---Sanctification is DBA for the CEO,
doing business as the Trinity. ---Perfection in me is DBA for the CEO,
doing the business of perfecting my life as the Trinity is perfect in essence
and supply me at conversion their perfection de iure. ---Growing into Perfection, into
Sanctification, into holiness I am de iure [not I but Christ which is within me
through His Spirit] and growing towards de facto perfection and sanctification
and holiness. ---Is that clearer? The whole Bible is
full of this. Paul is full of this. Jesus is full of this. No paradox that I am
supposed to be sinless but I can’t stuff of the scholars in our times. ---Their paradox gospel story is
actually an apologetic attempt to patch up the words of Martin Luther and John
Calvin. ---There is no message in any book of
the Bible: just drag yourself failing all the time clinging to God and you will
be OK. ---Clinging to God you will improve, the
Holy Spirit is very effective and successful with all types of humanity. For
sure. ---Me? Yes. You? Of course. ---Right now, make a decision to
overcome, to change, to reform,, to cast aside, to avoid, to close the eyes, to
close the ears, to seek only, intending to improve clinging to Who? Trinity.
