Book: Putting
The Pieces Together The Heavenly Trio [Content 1.
The Heavenly Trio. “Putting The
Pieces Together” article.]
Source for Trinity1: Ellen White:
Three Persons of Heavenly Trio Pragmatically doing the Functions that
they agreed upon in the Eternal Covenant should there be sin and salvation
should be necessary: Labor Division of the Trinity – Father function will
originate, Son function will originate, Holy Spirit as power and person will
function in order to carry out the plan of salvation. Each keep their function.
Father sent His Son and the Son sent His Spirit. But it is also the Father’s
Spirit. And all three are one although they are three. They are three persons, three attached
Godhead because they manifest differently, Father divine bodily person, Christ
divine/human bodily person, Holy Spirit divine power person. All three
different and yet one God. They chose their subordinate function
among themselves out of unselfishness for the sake of the salvation engine that
needed to be effective. Ellen White Statement in full: “The Father is all the fullness of the
Godhead bodily, and is invisible to mortal sight. The Son is all the fullness
of the Godhead manifested. The Word of God declares Him to be “the express
image of His person.” “God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting
life.” Here is shown the personality of the Father.
The Comforter that Christ promised to
send after He ascended to heaven, is the Spirit in all the fullness of the Godhead,
making manifest the power of divine grace to all who receive and believe in
Christ as a personal Saviour. There are three living persons of the heavenly
trio; in the name of these three great powers –the Father, the Son, and the
Holy Spirit–those who receive Christ by living faith are baptized, and these
powers will co-operate with the obedient subjects of heaven in their efforts to
live the new life in Christ.– Special Testimonies, Series B, No. 7, pp.
62, 63. (1905)” {Evangelism, pp. 614, 615} The heavenly “trio” are: God the
Father, His Son Jesus Christ [also God] and the Spirit [also God]. If there is
one God and one Lord and one Spirit, then the Father shares God with the Son
and with the Spirit. Is the trio then three gods? No. It explicitly calls for
one God. The Spirit functions for Himself, for the Father (Romans 8:11
raising Jesus from the dead: Spirit of the Father called here, Spirit of God)
and for the Son (Spirit of Christ). They all act DBA “doing business as…” each
other. The Spirit also shares the Lord with
the Father and with Christ just as Christ shares the Lord with the Spirit and
the Father. If you pray to any of the three, you
are automatically tapped in to the others Who all act DBA unselfishly for each
other. On the surface it appears they are all
subordinate and human logic quickly “box Them in”. But there are more texts to
consider and each of the trio has a sovereign function different from the
others: Father only knows the date of Jesus’
Coming. Jesus only died on the cross. Spirit only is as a person to play a
power function in people on earth and be a Teacher as well.
Romans 8:9-11 What it says is that the Spirit of God
is acting through Christ or for Christ. Also that the Spirit of God is acting
for the Father and through the Father. The rest of Scripture has texts that the
Scripture act also by Himself. For the Father He raised Christ from
the dead. For Christ He saves people from their sins. For Himself He does the
rebirth operation of a new heart and as a Writer, writes the Law of God, which
they all share, on the hearts of the believer as Jeremiah 31 indicate.
If all the fullness of the Father
dwells in Christ and He is representing the Father 100% and if the Spirit is
mirroring Christ 100% fully and all Christ’s Godhead is dwelling in the Spirit,
then they are all full of the Godhead and a Trio and three persons unselfishly
mirroring each other 100%. Ellen White Source on the Spirit that
quickens “It is the
spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing; the words that I speak
unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” Christ is not here referring to
his doctrine, but to his person, the divinity of his character.” {E. G. White, Review
and Herald, April 5, 1906 par. 12}
John 6:63 in
context John is
speaking that when Christ will ascend in heaven, the promised Spirit by
permission from the Father will be sent by Christ to the disciples: when then
you may see the Son of Man ascend where He was before (verse 62) the [Holy
Spirit, other person] is the One accomplishing/doing/making Life, the flesh
profits absolutely nothing, the utterances that I spoke unto you, is spirit and
life”. Why? Because
by the Holy Spirit is the Editor of the Bible and He resurrected Christ, and He
was at Creation, and He can give life and He leads to Christ as the source of
Salvation Who then approaches the Father for the final link, all instantaneously
without delay. Christ main
point is not His doctrine, say EGW, it is His divine Character and Person. He
is no ordinary human being. His disciples need to wake up. This does not cancel
the Holy Spirit. See John 14.

the only begotten Son of God, binds the human agent, body, soul, and spirit, to
the perfect, divine-human nature of Christ. This union is represented by the
union of the vine and the branches. Finite man is united to the manhood I of
Christ. Through faith human nature is assimilated with Christ's nature. We are
made one with God in Christ.”
We link by faith to the Spirit and by
the Spirit we link with Christ and by Christ we link with the Father.
Ellen White source: Holy Spirit as
Person “We need to realize that the Holy Spirit
who is as much a person as God is a person, is walking through these grounds.” Evangelism
616.So when
Christ was talking about the Spirit, He was actually referring “to his person,
the divinity of his character”! We saw earlier that this is also called “his
own divine mind” and “his divine nature.” How easy it is to harmonize the
Testimonies when we allow them to be their own key!
