now: https://absg.adventist.org/pdf.php?file=2023:1Q:SE:PDFs:EAQ123_08.pdf --- “ ‘Please
stay, if I have found favor in your eyes, for I have learned by experience that
the Lord has blessed me for your sake’ ” (Gen. 30:27) ---When Adventists are faithful at
National Universities of their countries and not breaking the Sabbath or not
willing to do so for the sake of God, God steps in to bless the university as
well. ---I know of a man who since 2009
started working for a National University in South Korea. He refused to work on
Sabbath. It became known to the other professors. ---Sometimes the Friday outing to a ski
resort touched the going down of the sun. But he explained to his superior that
when the sun goes down his Day of Worship to God starts until the sun goes down
the next day. ---His superior was a kind of Buddhist.
But when it was 5 o Clock, he came to him and said: the sun is going down soon,
so you have to go to worship your God. ---He did more than 3 to 5 times later
during 14 years of working there. ---When they wanted to order pork, ham,
lobsters, the overseer was saying, the Adventist cannot eat this, get him some other
option. Standing in for him. Protection by God on his behalf. ---He took his wife and went to complain
to the President of the University on Campus that there is too much alcohol
consumption on campus by students. The succeeding years from 2010 saw a
significant reduction of alcohol on campus. ---His overseer did not like smokers. So
he was happy to work with the Adventist who was not smoking. ---He studied a lot of theological
subject but God put him in the National University to teach in 2009. God
prepared a professor who was speaking his language and also studied theology
and who’s husband is a professor of theology in their denomination. She was
excited at his appointment. God used her. ---So for 14 years she protected and
used this Adventist in the same workforce with the others. ---When populism was chosen by the
liberal government as method to have students, the Adventist had the most
students every year. ---Teachers from First World countries
left one by one but the Third World teacher kept an average of 9 classes per
week. Unaffected by any factors in the country. ---God made him popular until his
retirement. A miracle. Right? ---When he retired his overseer was fired
at the same time. Why? When the Adventist retired a “new pharaoh that did not
know the overseer and others” came to the department. ---Even though his overseer had a
linguistics doctoral from the same university, he was not rehired. ---Everyone was shocked. But God Himself
will prepare the ram for this professor who was the Angel of the Lord to the
Adventist throughout all these years. The same miracle is awaiting him also.
