large jars to the Lord, Mary who washed Jesus’ feet and Barnabas. ---Mary’s jar that she used to wash His
feet was pricy. One year of wages. ---Barnabas and others were giving their
possessions to the Lord. The apostles were telling the stories from the Gospels
to them as they witnessed it themselves, about the Resurrection of Christ. ---The reality of Christ risen was a
shock-wave in the minds of all. The mind was renewed with a new Worldview. ---Acts reads as follows: 33 And with great
power were the apostles giving the testimony to the rising again of the Lord
Jesus, great grace also was on them all, 34 for there was
not any one among them who did lack, for as many as were possessors of fields,
or houses, selling [them], were bringing the prices of the thing sold, 35 and were
laying them at the feet of the apostles, and distribution was being made to
each according as any one had need. 36 And Joses, who
was surnamed by the apostles Barnabas -- which is, having been interpreted, Son
of Comfort -- a Levite, of Cyprus by birth, 37 a field being
his, having sold [it], brought the money and laid [it] at the feet of the
apostles. ---Barnabas was a Levite by birth. He
had a field. He sold it and gave it to the apostles. A very big gift. ---Judas Iscariot it is said sold Jesus
for a third of the price that Mary paid for the washing of Jesus’ feet. And he
criticized her for doing so. ---How valuable were Jesus to Mary? How
valuable were Jesus to Jude? ---There is a retired old man that is
coming to the Theology Library at Sahmyook and that is where I met him a couple
of times. ---He is an expert in Taoism,
Confucianism and Buddhism. His wife joined 40 years ago the National Religion
of Korea. ---Long time ago they believed that if
they could fused these three ideologies together they could bring happiness to
Korea. ---He said that shortly before he
retired he realized that it will never be possible. ---Then he thought, maybe Jesus will be
different. ---So now he is self-studying in the
Theology Library Jesus. ---He says his wife has a hard time to
accept Jesus. ---He laments that he is too old to
study Jesus. ---But it is not just human study. It is
in essence study with the Spirit of God. ---The Spirit opens the brain. It switch
on things that you were not accustomed to. ---He told me that the difference
between Asians and Westerners is that Westerners have 40 parts of the brain
more used than Asians. Because of these three ideologies just mentioned. ---How can I disagree with him? I am not
Korean. He is the expert. ---So what is Jesus worth to him? From
the morning to the evening he studies the Bible and theological books by
Adventists to get to know Christ. Will he? ---Of course. Will his wife change? Yes.
She will see the difference in him. ---So what is the big jar in your life
you are giving to the Lord? The change?
