Virus from Noah’s Flood became Active

On Monday 3^rd of March 2014, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences published their findings of a very unusual scientific investigation.

The background to this report should be placed in perspective well in advance of the report. Noah’s Flood described in detail from Genesis 6 and onwards, happened according to strict biblical chronology in the year 2523 BCE and not 30 000 years ago as the report tries to present. Nevertheless, it is the same Flood that killed the mammoths that are found regularly in Russia preserved in ice.

Researches were looking for unknown pathogens and so they went again to permafrost sample that were collected from Kolyma in the Russian Far East in the year 2000. “The permafrost was layered along steep cliffs” so the drillers extracted samples from Noah’s Flood “by drilling horizontally into the ice, thereby avoiding contamination from newer samples” (see the source cited below).

What the scientists then did is to put these samples in contact with amoebas (which are single celled micro-organisms) in Petri dishes. “The researchers then waited to see what happened”.

It is reported that “the amoebas burst open and died”. When they investigated, “they found a virus had killed the amoebas and that this pathogen “belongs to a previously unknown family of viruses, now dubbed Pithovirus” (see source below).

So far it seems that it can infect only amoebas and not humans or other animals.

One of the co-authors of the study is Jean-Michel Claverie, a bioinformatics researcher at Aix-Marseille University in France.

Claverie said “If they have been extinct for a long time, then our immune system is no longer prepared to respond to them” (see source).

Scientists wonder what global warming may bring in the line of bacteria and viruses unknown?

We are told biblically that the Lord will bring plaques over the world before or during the Time of Trouble and that it will be one of the reasons why the evil will curse God more and persecute the faithful.
