---“Believe to the end, even if all men go astray and you are left the only one faithful; bring your offering even then and praise God in your loneliness.” Words of Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky spending years in prison in Russia.

---The rejoicing letter of Phillipians is from a prison. Paul.

---Did you know that you can be in a prison even if you are not?

---Yes. This world is actually a prison with Satan as the Warden but Jesus and the Holy Spirit as cellmates. Powerful cellmates.

---No one will lift a finger to you with the indwelling Spirit of God.

---I do not want to allegorize the whole Bible as many did. But our habits and tastes and feelings and passions can imprison us.

---Overcome is the motto. All is the goal. Can is the promise. Victory is the freedom of spirit in rejoicing always in the Lord.

---Attended a baptism yesterday. One of our Sabbath School Lesson members.

---When she came to church in the morning of her baptism, she was imprisoned with her jewelry. She came with big white earrings and a white necklace around the neck.

---But when the Spirit of God baptized her in the water, they were all off!

---After the baptism she grabbed the necklace but the earrings she left off.

---In time she will be free from them also. And her red and pink fingernails and toe-nails. Rejoice in the Lord for freedom of soul and spirit. With the Spirit in us.

---She was a school teacher and another SDA school teacher met her in 2002 at a school meeting for education.

---Some cultures do things together as a family. Others sleep separately, husbands and wives. When in a group they eat separately, males and females.

---In some cultures it is unheard of to have the wives’ father-in-law or mother-in-law living with them. Only the husband’s parent may.

---Cultural habits may imprison people too.

---People suffer under cultural habits too. Rejoice in the Lord always.
