---Our lesson takes us to a praise case in a war where a focus on God and His splendor conquered the day for them.

---It is in the days of king Jehoshaphat.

---The enemy was coming in those days from Transjordan.

---Do not just say, well it is the Arabs again.

---Arabs were not involved in those days in Transjordan. Despite their romance today about their history.

---The seals we get from that area dating from the 8thh century BC and later to the 5thh century, has nothing to do with Arabic names. They are Hebrew names sometimes but mix fonts were used. The orthography displays a mixture of nations.

---The iconography shows that even Assyrian religious motifs were used.

---There was thus close contact with astrology, myths of Assyrian worship and gods.

---The altars were similar to those found in Assyria and elsewhere like Phoenicia.

---So the problem may have come from a bundle of migrants mixed in the Transjordan area who were just there for one purpose, get rich and get out. Thus, grab and go elsewhere as well, in Israel among the Hebrews.

---And that is where this war comes in.

---So instead of sorting out their weapons, they inquire from God what they should do.

---God promised to help them and they praised the Lord for that with a loud voice.

---This verse cannot be used in our worship to encourage people to raise their hands and shout on the top of their voices creating the worship space in a Penticostal atmosphere of noisiness in the worship and call it “presence of the Lord”. These modern ways are self-created human mass-control. The wrong spirit and not the right Holy Spirit.

---The noise was loud because the whole army sang together. The volume will be higher than usual. They praise the Lord.

---Ever went to a camp-meeting with the collection of all congregations in the country together and hear them singing. The roof wants to lift!

---When they marched to the enemy, they were singing and praising the Lord for His splendor and God set ambushes for these Transjordan forces and the Hebrews carried the day.

---All written in 2 Chronicles 20:1-20.

---This event is recorded for us in our day even with the Ukrainian war in mind. There are many Hebrews fighting on both sides but many refused to fight for the Russians. They left. Many Hebrews joined the Ukrainians for the invasion had similar tones than described here in Chronicles.

---The same God is involved. Unless it is the Time of Trouble predicted by God in Daniel 12:1 just before Christ comes, the outcome can be the same as that of Jehoshapat’s day. Worshipping God is a strong weapon always.

---Our daily lives is a war against Satan the roaring lion seeking to devour.
