It is imperative for the study of any of Moses' books, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numeri, Deuteronomy, Job and Psalm 90 that one has a good grip of Middle Egyptian. Some exposure to this language will strengthen the conviction that Moses wrote with many Egyptian linguistic features attached, build in or borrowed into the Hebrew he was using.
The father in law of Moses' name was Jetro.
Jetro in Egyptian means river and one can see it in this Lesson III at B 1) = itrw.
The book we are using is the classical Middle Egyptian Grammar of Alan Gardiner.
