immortality for the soul is immortal. They got it from Greek Poets like Homer
and Greek Philosophers like Plato. ---Plato got it from Egyptian pagan religion when he visited there
before he wrote his book Republic Book XII. --- ---Augustine (390-420 AD) was a lazy Bible reader. In all his
sermons he always used more or less the same texts. Nothing new because he did
not read regularly the Bible. ---I know because I helped an assistant of Dr. Johann Erbes once,
going through Augustine’s sermons looking at his Bible citations. The assistant
was a Korean pastor. ---Conditional Immortality is what Adventists found in 1
John 5:3-12. The logic does not allow for Natural Immortality of all. ---Only those in Christ has eternal life as hope or de iure,
then a sleeping gap of non-existence, then a raising up at resurrection de
facto by Christ. Nice right? And biblical. All by John the disciple whom
Jesus loved. ---The gap between de iure and de facto on death of the saint, is
very important in the Bible. ---When people were de facto dead in Jesus day, all knew that de
iure the person will have hope in the de facto Resurrection at the end of time.
But Jesus told them that the person is just sleeping, meaning there is a gap of
non-existence but also a time of Resurrection later. ---But Jesus had another message. The One who is the de facto One who
will resurrect in future, was standing right with them and could do de facto immediately
before their eyes, not only in future! ---That was the wonder of Jesus. ---If anyone is preaching or teaching or saying that all people is
with an immortal soul, then they are against 1 John 5:3-12 teaching selected
immortality only to those in Christ. ---Nearly all denominations are Augustine clingers or lovers and
thus borrowed from Lutherism and Calvinism these ideas of the past that is
non-biblical. ---Is you Confession like the Heidelberg Confession teaching
natural immortality and not biblical immortality? ---Did you notice that Ephesians 1:4 not only teaches selected
Immortality in Christ with the Trinity before Creation but also calls on us to
be holy and blameless (sorry Augustine, sorry Luther with your “same time saint,
same time sinner” non-biblical doctrine). Sorry to those Adventist theologians
and members who were and are clinging to Luther also. Read Ephesians 1:4 again.
---Blameless does not mean here and there a spot. That is what holy
also mean. ---Totally holy and blameless in Christ as status but also reaching
out in goal to holiness actively in daily pursuit. ---Does it mean total abstinence of smoking and alcohol? Or does it
mean that we are sinners until Jesus come so now and then a “smoking chimney” =
cigarette and glass of wine is OK? ---Cannot be holy totally so Sunday keeping is also OK instead of
biblical Sabbath? ---So Natural Immortality is also Ok although it is not biblical? ---God forbid. Get out of the circle of friends that hold you in
these views. ---Reform. Find Christ. Seek Holiness and purity in Christ and with
Christ.
