In the mountain ranges of Igbaras, Iloilo, Philippines, the construction of a new church building has begun.

Seventeen enthusiastic young people, with the leadership of Sonia Gumangan, one of the church elders of Sta. Rosa Church, Guimbal, Iloilo climbed the remote barangay of Igcabugao.  The place is known of as rebel-infested area. But with prayers, eagerness to fulfill a mission and good camaraderie, the group stayed for two days enjoying the company of the nice people up there.

Being kilometers away from the nearest town and separated by ravines, rivers and steepy road - modern equipments needed for an easy and faster construction was not a hindrance to pursue the project.  With bare-hands, plows and carabaos, the group painstakingly labored just to flatten the hilly place for the church ground.  With patience, endurance and God's grace, the new church building's foundation was finally laid down.

The visiting group of young people hope that this new church will house a number of members each Sabbath burning with zest and zeal in their hearts worshipping and serving Jesus our Lord until He comes.

Let's keep praying for the progress of the church in Igcabugao and the rests of the work in God's field.13022011_001.jpg DSC07508.JPGPLOWING-2.jpg IG-2.jpg HIKE.jpg 12022011_020.jpg
