---Reading Daily Life in Rome by Jerome Carcopino 1938 pp. 55ff convinced me that there is no difference between the slaves of Rome and the workers of large companies anywhere in the world today.

---Our concept of “slave” and “slavery” is bound to organized crimes of the centuries past stealing people from Africa and transporting them to the West for harsh slavery treatments.

---It was the same in Rome. But, because people are people, their sense of humanity and their conversion to Christianity changed their perception of treating their slaves, following Ephesians 6.

---Slaves could have a testament. They could get larger bonuses for extra work and buy their freedom by savings.

---They could be teachers for the children of the Master.

---If a person added the suffix Por- to his name, it means that he had a slave in Roman times.

---Slaves did not have it bad always as most people are crying currently all over the world.

---They denounced it as if it is a pest.

---Do you work for $5 per hour cleaning toilets and is paid by hour without food, without benefits of medical insurance or the more? You are worse than the slaves of biblical times.

---So do not walk around with the stereotype “slavery is a major evil in the world”.

---It is not slavery. It is systems and social systems that exist legally that purport to help everyone but in reality and practically have holes here and there where some are placed in an unfortunate situation.

---Slaves were water-carriers. Do we hire water-carriers in modern times? We call them “workers” and the Latin people called them servi. They serve. They work. No difference.

---Are you as a CEO buy meals for your workers every lunch? No. Well it was a duty of the owner of slaves in Ancient times to buy them food and clothes to wear. Hello.

---The gravestone inscriptions indicate that the owners were crying over their slaves.

---The slaves were like sisters to the wife of the owner. When the slave dies the whole family mourn with the slaves’ family together.

---The concept of chains for the slaves is a stereotype.

---There are pictures that display the harsness of treating slaves from every period of history.

---One can see it on Assyrian iconography or mural art. Pictures of the Neo-Assyrian deportations of peoples shows the cruelty of captivated and kidnapped humans.

---The Bible describes the deportations of Daniel. There is the kidnap and sale of Joseph.

---But, there is a God who in any period of world history, come to rescue of the slave in ancient times and worker in our times, and the same God convert the owner to Himself, instill His compassion and feelings for His subordinates in him and imitating Christ’s passion, are kind to them.

---Politics is a waste of time because it is old sins repeated in different generation again all over in a different garb.

---But I was  given a gift by the head of police that worked together to arrest Nelson Mandela who gave me a Court book of the advocate of the state (Perci Yutar) on secret tapes that they put in the ceilings of a farm to record communistic classes that were conducted there. I have no interest in this and was a young student who received this gift many years ago.

---Recently I page through it and two women that were in a class in 1961/962 were discussing how wrong the Apartheid system under prime minister Verwoerd is and how they could follow ideas that Stalin and Friedrich Engels suggested to free the black “slaves” of South Africa.

---Well, what were these two women (Jewish ladies) suggestion of a replacement solution? She said, everyone in society will then have enough of everything so they do not need salaries any longer. Everybody can use everybody’s car. There was a communist lecturer Costa with them. Well?

---Politics smells no matter who is doing it.

---Slaves, workers or laborers would not like these “transformation in progress” suggestions of the ladies in 1961-1962. Whether they disliked the Apartheid system they would not like this one either.

---These ladies were against the Bible because in one comment in the book or tapes, one said talking about a certain Blaar Coetzee: “Do you know what he said about fossil fuels? He said that they are coming from the Flood” All of them laughed at the class, meaning they do not accept the Noah Flood of the Bible or the Bible as reality.

---So what is the problem with any worker, labor, slave system in society? The role of the Trinity absent in people’s lives. That is the key problem.

---But was the Middle Ages from 538-1798 not about church control of the empire? It was and it was a great mess. God never intended religion to take over the state.

---Is your pastor involved in civil right activism? Jesus was not a civil right activist. Neither any of the apostles. God does not want us to make ourselves dirty with politics. Steer away from it all the time. When? Immediately.
